"Kid!" Tony yelled into the rubble. "Kid, where are you!""Mr. Stark.." He heard, turning to see Peter. Peter's face was beat up, his face a sickly pale blue, veins popping out of his hands and neck, his eyes crying.
"Kid, what happened to you?" He asked.
"Mr. Stark, I-I got stuck up the building, a-and I was trying to get up and I was being crushed under a-all the weight," Peter said, sobbing a little as he said it, "I-I tried to get out and I couldn't.."
"The thing is you did and you're here now." Tony said.
"I'm so sorry.." He said, almost collapsing. Tony caught him, keeping him in balance in his arms. "I'm so sorry Mr. Stark.."
"Don't be sorry kid, it wasn't your fault." He said.
"I wanna go home, I just want to go home.." Peter cried.
"I'll get you home kid, c'mon."
Tony got Peter out of the rubble, holding him in his arms as they flew to Peter's house. They landed on the doorstep. "I'm so sorry Mr. Stark, I-I couldn't handle it."
"It's ok kid, it's ok, it was a little much for your first fight."
"I'm sorry Mr. Stark.." He kept saying. They stayed on that porch step for a while, trying to find comfort in the quiet night. Peter kept apologizing, not knowing what he was apologizing for.
"Kid, the bottom line is you're alive." Tony said. "If you died, I wouldn't have known what I'd done."
"I'm sorry.."
"Don't be kid." He said. "It's a little much to take on at your age. My first mission wasn't until I was in my late thirties, early forties."
"I'm just- I'm sorry." Peter said. "I let you down."
"You could never let me down." He said. "It's one thing to anger me, it takes a lot of pushing to let me down."
Peter sniffs. "Thanks dad."
Tony was taken aback, but ended up smiling. "'Welcome, kiddo."
