"Hey, Natasha?" You ask, entering the living room of the Avenger's building. Natasha looks up from her book.
"Yes?" She replies.
"I need to ask you something." You say.
"Shoot." She says.
"What...what's it like to be a woman?"
"Are you asking that because your a curious teenage boy or your seriously questioning yourself?"
"I-I was sorta wondering because.." You fiddle your fingers. "I think I might be trans?"
"Come. Sit with me." She says. You sit next to her, your face red. "How long have you been questioning yourself?"
"For a few years." You say. "About three or four.."
"Hey, it's ok." She said, wrapping her arm around your shoulder. "It's a little hard being a woman, people are always putting you to impossible standards; being skinny but being a healthy weight of semi-fat at the same time, being a virgin but being a good fuck at the same time,"
"Natasha?"
"All I'm saying is, it's tough. But we stick with it." She says. "It's even harder being a transgender woman. Or transgender at all. Do you know how many people misgender someone in public? Or call them the wrong pronouns?
It's difficult even going to the bathroom in public because of people. You go to the men's bathroom; you're suddenly a slut trying to get an easy fuck. Go into the women's bathroom; you're a perverted man who also wants to get an easy fuck when all you want to do is take a piss or a shit.
It's tough, but it's a good fight. It's a step in the right direction to being the best you that you can be. I support you." She says. "Props to you. You're one brave motherfucker for telling me; or anyone, for that matter."
"I'm a little afraid of coming out to my dad." You said.
"Tony?" She asks. "He loves you to death. He wouldn't turn you away; whether you wanted to be his daughter or his son. He's happy to have you in his life at all. He'd support you too."
You smile. "Hopefully."
"You want backup for when the time comes?" She asks you. You nod. "I got your back. If he doesn't accept you your gonna be my daughter."
"Thanks Natasha."
"No problem." She says. Tony walks in, setting his stuff down at the table and getting a cup of coffee. He smiles.
"Hey [boy's name]." He says. "What's up?"
Natasha turns to you. "You want to tell him?"
"Tell me what?" He asks.
"Can you?" You ask, anxiety reaching your chest fast. She nods.
"This isn't your son." She told Tony simply.
"What?" He asks.
"This is your daughter." She says.
"What do you mean?" He asks. He turns to you. "What does she mean?"
"Dad.." You say, your breath shaking. "I'm..well I want to say I'm.."
"Transgender?" He asks. You nods hurriedly. "Come here."
You walk over to him. He sets a hand on your shoulder. "What's your name?"
"Wh-What?"
"What's your name?" He asks.
"I haven't figured it out yet.."
"Kiddo, I respect your decision." He says. "But things are gonna change a lot around here."
"What do you mean?" You asked, anxious as hell.
"Well, one by one we're gonna tell people; at a pace that you want. I can get you all the stuff you need to transition, you just gotta tell me what I can do."
"R-really?"
"Of course!" He says. "I don't care if you're my daughter or my son, as long as your my kid I'm fine with anything. I draw the line once you want to start murdering people or doing illegal stuff."
"Thanks dad.." You were about to cry.
"Hey, don't cry, it's ok." He says. "Is Natasha your backup?"
You nod. He smiles at her. "Thanks Nat, I got it form here."
"Anytime." She says. She pats your back before leaving. "What's I tell you? He still loves you."
"What, you think I was gonna hate you?" He asks. "Of course not. Your my kid, I love you to death."
"Thank you dad.." You say.
"I love you, kiddo."
