We never really could figure out the setbacks we had and why we had them. It was like two trains going at full speed, then suddenly crashing into each other when we found out. Of course, some pills are harder to swallow than others, but this revealed rest of our lives. Everything began to make as much sense as it ever could. Daniel and I met when we were five years old. My Aunt Linda took care of me because my mother wasn't meant to take care of anyone, including herself. While I lived with my aunt my mom needed somewhere to be, so naturally I still got to spend time with my mom.
Daniel and I were inseparable. I knew him like the back of my hand. You wouldn't expect someone to be able to fall in love at age five, but we were known to prove people wrong. No one could've ever came between us, until something did. Some days were hard to be with Daniel because I had to help my mother out. She wasn't crippled or anything, just delusional. Every time I asked why she was like that my Aunt would shut me out. Only being five you never understand and just go with it. They really are right; you'll understand when you're older. If only Daniel and I could've understood, we would've been safe.
