Evelyn was only about one when the terror from her mother began. Everyone knew Katrina was an unfit mother except for her. Katrina went to the mental ward three times after Evelyn was born. Two years prior, she was diagnosed clinically insane. Nobody could figure out where she went because Katrina never told a soul where she was. Being a danger and a risk to her daughter, her Aunt became her guardian. While Katrina still lived with Linda, she could no longer make decisions for Evelyn because she was emotionally unstable and a flight risk.
Evelyn knew she could never grow up like a normal child. Her father split before she was born due to Katrina's psychotic behavior. Katrina had a bit of a reputation and was a local infamous star. Evelyn never got to meet her father and still does not know who he is. Yes, the feeling ate away at her because she couldn't cry to dad like the other kids in the neighborhood. Evelyn had to learn how to grow up very quickly through personality, except for when she got a little older. Her growth as a person was halted to a stop.
