a/n~ I'm feeling uninspired right now, so if this chapter sucks that's why💕

Today marked two weeks of your fathers death. You still weren't over the fact that he was gone.

"Stella?" Your mother called from the kitchen.

"Yeah, mom?" You shouted from across the house.

"I'm making dads favorite for dinner" she said knowing you wouldn't be interested

You sat quietly for a moment thinking, "I don't know why she bothers. We both hate his favorite meal. Sushi with ginger and wasabi was the only thing he'd ever order when we got Chinese food. My mother and I always hated the taste and smell of it. So, I don't know why she was making it for dinner. Besides, he's not alive anymore, after all.

"Why? We hate sushi with ginger and wasabi anyways. There's no point." you pointed out.

"Because honey, today marks two weeks. We should honor him and suck it up. He'd be glad we are trying to eat his awful, awful meal." your mother laughed.

As you and your mother choked down the sushi, there was a knock at the door. It was your best friend, y/bsf/n, she'd been coming over a lot lately to help you get your mind off of your fathers death, and help your mother get you out of the house for once. You asked her to come over and hang out because you were getting really bored doing nothing on your 4 day weekend. She loved coming over to your house anyway, you two always had loads of fun when you were together.

"Hey BESS FRAAAAND!!!!!" she screamed at you.

"hey.." you said quietly

"Hey, when are you gonna start being happy and goofy again???" she questioned

you giggled, "I don't know, maybe when my dad comes back home and says 'HA! it was a prank! fooled ya!' you know that."

You missed your dad a lot. And everyone knew that, it's just that you couldn't seem to be happy even though everyone was making you laugh. You would just go back to your poker face after laughing.

Two hours later...

"You should probably go home y/bsf/n I need to shower, do my homework, and practice my clarinet for band still." you mentioned

"Oh, ok. I thought you were actually up for some fun today for once, but I guess I was wrong. Never change Stella, never change." y/bsf/n said with an angry/upset tone in her voice.

You slammed the door behind y/bsf/n as she walked out of your house and down the driveway. You couldn't believe you had just about lost your best friend over a fight about not being happy enough on the two week anniversary of your own FATHER dying. You now had lost two people you loved most in your life, within the span of two weeks.
