When going back to school there are a few tips to remember...

1) Dress to impress! Dress like you actually put effort into looking good.

2) Always make sure you smell hygenic. Pack some mints in your bag, with a bit of deodorant to avoid anybody making rude comments about your smell.

3)Bullying isn't cool. If you don't like somebody making fun of you then don't make fun of somebody else.

4) When running late, DON'T skip breakfast, just stock up on a granola bar so you don't go hungry during the day.

5) Join sports, and clubs! Be active. Joining a club or sport will help you to make friends.

6)Don't waste your time looking for a relationship. No middle school relationship lasts and almost all high school relationships fail. Remember looks aren't everything (:

7) Do your homework & study right when you get home. This will leave time for you to do activities you enjoy.

8) Color coat your notes and organize them.

9) Don't procrastinate the sooner you get your work done the less you have to worry about.

10) IF you are an insomniac. Try getting a Rain App. I have one on my kindle that allows me to choose how long I want it to play. It soothes me and helps me fall asleep faster.

11) When going to bed on a school night, don't go on your phone before bed, read insted!

12) Making friends is simple. Just be yourself and don't pretend to be someone you're not.

13) Be careful about who you hang around. Don't follow the crowd. If someone you know is doing something on school property, such as getting high or selling drugs, stay away and leave a note for a teacher. This will ensure that you won't look like a rat and the situation will be taken care of.

14) Don't edge on other students. Mind your own bussiness and try to avoid any drama. However if you should find yourself in the middle of a rumor or in the middle of drama see a school councelor that can help solve the problem for you.

15) The school library is there for a reason. Take advantage of it. Reading only improves your writing and social skills.

16) Don't be rude to your teachers. If you don't like something your teacher said, whether it was a racial slur or a rude remark, pull your teacher aside and tell them how you feel without adding any attitude. The teacher probably didn't intend to make you feel the way you do. He/She may adress the class the next day explaining his/her reason for stating the statement. If you felt unhappy with the statement your teacher made, then most likely other students felt the same way.
