This is my version of the scene in Battle of the Labyrinth, just before Percy causes the huge explosion. Hopefully this fic makes more of Annabeth kissing him💕

The heat is intense and I can barely breathe. "Save yourself Annabeth, please." Her face falls and I can tell that she's angry that she can't fight. It's her fatal flaw - pride. Her eyes loose their light and it hurts a little. Eventually she nods, turning towards the door. To be honest her face is the only thing that's keeping me going. This heat is horrible and it's starting to choke me. The smoke clouds are blocking my vision and the room is starting to spin. And then is a cloud of smoke she's gone.

I turn away from the smoke trying to loose the image of Annabeth. The suddenly I feel a weight on my back and as I turn around I can't believe it. She's back, her blonde curls turning almost murky from heat. She looks angry, like really angry. I'm scared for a minute that she's going to punch me - it wouldn't really be a suprise. Then to my shock she kisses me. I can't tell where the heat is coming from now as she loops her hands around my neck. Then eventually she stops and I'm completely melted. She kisses me on the cheek and with a glint in her eye grins. "Be careful Seaweed Brain, okay."
