It was late, the kind of late when you no longer feel tired. Monstrous thunder boomed and the viscous lightning cracked. The windows began to glow with each horrific boom.
Her eyes; glossy and clouded, yet they showed so much. She knew what was coming. The thing that lurked in the shadows; she knew what it was. Who it was. She sat there, waiting. Waiting for it to go bump in the night. Soon it, would show its claws. Any minute now. Oh, she hated waiting.
Her heart slammed itself against her ribcage. Over and over and over and over. it went as its movements became more and more savage. If that was even possible. She stared. Her eyes locked on the door. It was blue. She had never seen a door that blue. The blue from the great depths of the ocean. The blue from the far northern sky.  Her eyes traced each line, each crack, each chip, like it some how spelled out the secrets of the universe.
Her ears perked as something stirred behind her. Before her mind could process the sound her body jerked itself around so she was facing the source of the noise. Her eyes focused on it intensely. She saw pale red eyes staring back at her, filled with concern. She let out a sigh, it was Spider. "Have you been up all night?" He asked. "He's coming. Tonight. He's coming. I can feel it." She said in response. "Him? Wait you don't me- no he couldn't have found us so quickly." He retorted. "He did. I know it. Trust me." She said solemnly. He sighed, "Ok. Do you know when he will be here?" "No, but soo-" "KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK." They jumped. "Hide the boys!" She whispered. Her heart was racing, her eyes were dialed, and she stared at the door. It really was a beautiful blue. The kind you could get lost in. Oh, how she wished she could loose herself in that wonderful blue. "KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK." It called again. She continued to stare. Before she could answer she heard something. Was it a cry or maybe, a wimpier? No, it was, a laugh. A laugh that sounded wrong, really... wrong. She slammed her hands over her ears as they began to ring with the vial toon. "Hello, won't you let me in? We're friends, right? Aren't we, ...Raven." She shook her head. No. No! They weren't friends! They could never be friends! Her hand shook, as she reached for the door knob. Before her fingers hit the silver sphere she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Spider. His touch fueled her muscles and she quickly grabbed the knob and inched the door open.
She knew what was on the other side, of that blue door, she imagined it. Over and over she imagined it. But what she saw now was so much worse. His white hair, drenched in rain, his red eyes glowed in the night, and his skin was almost a sickening green. "Can we help you?" She asked wearily. He looked at her. His head tilted and his lips curved into a ghoulish grin. "Yes, I believe you can,"
