Chapter 19: Ocean of Memories

It's been 4 days since Roxas sudden absence...and it started to worry you. And you thought that searching the town from the a birdseye view to get your mind off of it but sadly no luck. You ruffled your hair as you were walking back up the stairs of the clock tower to get a early nights rest...maybe Roxas will come today.

That's what you kept telling yourself...

But as you got to the top of the steps you caught sight of a figure in a black coat sitting on the ledge of the balcony. Your heart jumped as you quickly ran to see who it was.

"Rox--oh..." you stopped as your smile fell when you were reunited with the familiar ravenette. "Its you..." Xion looked back at you with a popsicle stick in her mouth.

"Oh, (Name)! I didnt know you come here too." Xion blinked at you as you leaned up against the wall.

"Nice to see you again, Xion." You forced smile then welcomed yourself a seat next to her. "You waiting for Roxas?" You asked, looking at the girl from the corner of your eye.

She didnt answer as a gloomy look was spread across her face. That didnt look like a good sign to you at ALL.

"Whats wrong?" You didnt get a reply and that silence caused your anxiety to increase. "Did something happen to him?!" You got up in Xion's face, her popsicle stick falling out of her hand. She could tell that you were just as worried about her new friend just like she is. But you were different...you had desperation in your eyes.

"He's alright. It's just that he collapsed when he went on a mission with Xigbar." Her words felt like a poison that just stopped your heart from beating completely.

"Collapsed?! Why? Is he really alright?!"

"Take me to him!" Your voice bursts as you got closer to Xion.

"Eh?"

"Please!" You could feel your heart crushing with worry for your precious blonde.

"Uh.....sure." Xion nodded her head.

The dark corridor emerged in the Organization's castle halls. Xion was the first to walk out with you tagging along. Both of you hidden under the shadows of your hoods. You took a good look at the enormous and plain looking hallway, no surprise that everything was white, from the floors to the walls then to the ceilings.

"Its so quiet in here." You whispered even though nobody else was around besides Xion.

"That's how it usually is. I thought you would've known that." The girl looked back at you when it suddenly hit you like a ton of bricks.

"Crap she's right!! I totally forgot that she doesnt know that I'm a fake. Think (Name), THINK!!"

"Uh that's right I guess I sorta forgot! Since I'm always out doing secret missions! Ha ha ha ha!" The lie was convincing but as for your attempted laugh...not so much.

"Well Roxas did say that you are rarely here cause you're mostly busy at work so I guess I understand." She shrugged her shoulders then turned around and guided you down the hall.

You sighed with utter relief that she bought it even though deep down, you have this sick feeling in your gut that you didnt like lying to her...you knew that she was a sweet girl and could be easy to talk to (even though you've never really hung out with her). I mean, she agreed to take you to see Roxas for crying out loud.

Maybe you feel this way towards this girl because she looks and reminds you of Kairi. You groaned softly while massaging your temple.

"Why do I feel like I'm getting a soft side for Xion even though she resembles Kairi? I mean, literally for the past 5 minutes being with her, shes the most innocent little thing in the world!"
