The workout room bustled with the sound of students and equipment as everyone began finishing up their morning routines. Midoriya and his friends had started with their usual morning run to warm up which was led by Iida. Now the greenette laid on his back under the lift bar holding just a little over his usual weight limit doing his final reps while Todoroki spotted him.

"Come on, Midoriya. Two more. I know you can do it." he encouraged softly as the Midoriya concentrated on breathing while lifting the bar. Sweat covered his brow and his arms burned pleasantly as he pushed his muscles to respond. He lifted the bar to full extension before slowly lowering it back down to his chest. Todoroki's hands were safely hovering underneath, just in case Midoriya faltered and dropped the bar onto himself.

But he didn't as he pushed once more, giving out a strained groan as he hit full exention on his arms and his friend immediately pulled the bar back to it's resting spot. As soon as the weight was gone Midoriya released the tension in his muscles and gasped for air. He had stupidly held his breath on the last push.

"You did better, Midoriya. However, you need to work on your breathing still. If your muscles don't get oxygen they won't work to their full potential and you run the risk of cramps." Todoroki softly coached him.

"R-right. I'm sorry. I'll work on it. Thank you." he breathed out. His responses short as he tried to take air back into his lungs.

Sitting up he noticed a towel was handed to him and he went to take it.

"Nice set, Midoriya." Iida praised. "The more you train your muscles the less you have to worry about the strain on your arms being too much. Please continue to display excellent responsibility for your health."

Wiping his face and neck Midoriya nodded, "I'll do my best." Iida then excused himself saying something about getting them drinks to re-hydtrate.

Suddenly, a load thud could be heard from the wrestling mats across the room followed by a someone's voice yelling. Kacchan's voice.

"Nice try, hair for brains! Get faster if you want a chance of throwing me."

He taunted as Midoriya looked down to see Kirishima lying on his back on the mat where Bakugo just threw him.

"Gimme a break, man." he replied between breaths, "Nobody is as flexible as you. How the hell did you get out of my grip?"

"You left an opening, and I took it." the blonde replied matter-of-factly.

Midoriya chuckled and he felt a small sense of pride for Bakugo. He never let up on his training and was always working hard to get better. He could always find the openings people left. He was just that good.

"You would think after all these years he would learn some restraint." a snide voice whispered from behind Midoriya. Turning around he found Monoma and a few of his classmates finishing up with their equipment.

The copy quirk user was still a bit of a pain when it came to the classes competing. Midoriya just chalked it up to the pride he held for his friends. He could relate since he was always willing to step up to defend or help anyone he could, but he harbored a particular soft spot for his own class.

"Kacchan never holds back, Monoma. If he did it would be considered an insult to his partner. It's just how he is." Midoriya chimed in as the pride for Bakugo swelled in his chest a little more.

Monoma eyed Midoriya before continuing on, "That may be true. But at least no one in Class 3-B has civilians scared of them." he bullied lightly.

He was referring to the time during their 3rd year internships where Bakugo had shadowed another Pro hero. Although he was very successful in his missions and made quite a favorful impression on the Pros, the hero he shadowed received some complaints about Bakugo's yelling and stern behavior not being "public friendly". Of course Kacchan wasn't fazed. "My job is to fight villians and save lives. Not cater to those who stand by and watch me do it." was his response.
