Dalton's POV

He shuffled out of the car, a look of victory on his face as he came up with ways to pay in his head. As if I'd let him pay when he only had £50 to his name. He should spend it on something meaningful, not a shitty outfit for a party I'm dragging him to.

As we wandered in and out of the shops, nothing really caught either of our eyes. Jack did notice one top however, he pointed to it and walked over to get a closer examination.

It was a navy blue tee with a small designer logo that I can guarantee Jack has never heard of. His eyes scanned over it, a grin on his face, until he turned over the label on it, instantly letting go out of shirt like it was lava when his eyes read over the £180 price tag. I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction.

We soon ended up in a shop called Two Seasons, which both Jack and I took a liking to.

Even though I hated shopping with a passion, when I was with Jack I for some reason turned into a stereotypical girl who had handfuls of clothes wrapped around my arms, all ready for Jack to get changed into. Jack didn't have anything in his hand but I could tell he liked the things I were picking up so I didn't pressure him into doing anything, except following me like a lost puppy.

When I was satisfied with my growing mountain of clothes balanced on either arm, I guided Jack to the changing rooms. I chose the room right at the end of the corridor and round a corner so we couldn't be seen my anyone and hung up all of the items before letting Jack close the curtain and taking a seat opposite the room on the outside.

We exchanged a few words in between him revealing outfits, him asking how I knew what size he were, him struggling to get skinny jeans on, him putting his arms through the wrong holes. Listening in to his conversations, you wouldn't think he's the brightest kid but to me, it was cute that he was so utterly clueless with everything. It was a vast part of his personality how naive he was and at first it was weird to me, but very quickly I became used to it, finding much entertainment out of his struggles. Not many things could make me smile, but hearing the strange noises he made and the bangs on the walls, quickly followed by an 'ouch' made me grin and I couldn't help it.

Every time he came out of the changing room with a different outfit, my stomach filled with butterflies. Some tops were tighter, some looser but I couldn't choose my favourite. Tighter tops accentuated each curve and line on his torso, and although he wasn't muscly, it was still a nice view to look at. However, the baggy tops that showed off a little too much shoulder when it fell to one side made him seem so small and precious, which is how I liked him. I couldn't ever imagine him anything other than small and precious.

I also chose a few hoodies for him to try on, and instantly I had my favourite from the second I saw it. It was a Thrasher hoodie in all black with the logo sprawled over the upper chest. However, it wasn't particularly the jumpers design that stood out to me, it was the size. This hoodie was oversized, and it ended about 10 centimetres above his knees, which was adorable. Also, the sleeves were too long, causing them to bunch up by his wrists to the point that only his fingertips were showing, I don't know why but the way he looked so vulnerable and cute made me want to protect him at all costs, which is strange because I haven't felt this way for anybody in a long time.

He liked the Thrasher hoodie but said it was too expensive so he decided on a plain black tee and a pair of black ripped jeans that weren't 'too skinny' because he found them too uncomfortable otherwise. Whilst he was changing back into his own clothes, I asked if I could have the clothes to fold and hang back up and when he agreed, without thinking about it, I slid out of the changing room swiftly and paid for the hoodie, top and ripped jeans at the cashier, which thankfully had no queue.
