Blink
Come on.. Just blink already.
By the look on his watering eyes I could tell that just a little more and I would win our little unexpected staring contest.
3, 2, 1..
"Shit" he muttered, rapidly blinking away and rubbing his eyes in the hopes of restoring the moisture they had a few moments ago.
Ha! I win.
A smug little grin made its way to my lips as the sight of him loosing filled my ego up to the brim. I was a natural at this - no one stood at chance against me in a staring contest. What can I say? I have super eyes.
"Look, I told you.. I'm not apologizing Heathers, no matter how long you stare at me like a creep" he added with a smirk. "Besides, if you didn't drag me along, we wouldn't have been caught in the janitors closet in the first place"
What? I saved him from being sexually violated by the schools number one Slut! And this is the thanks I get?
"Well if you didn't put your face this close to mine.." I pinched the air in front of me, squinting my eyes at my index finger and thumb. "We wouldn't have had to be interrogated like a bunch of criminals the other day now would we?"
He rolled his eyes at me as he slumped back on his seat. "Whatever, it still doesn't get us out of detention later.. So stop looking at me like I just ran over a box of puppies will'ya" he said, shifting his attention on his physics book.
Physics?..
Phy.. sics..
"Oh my Godd" I shrieked as realization hit me hard.
"Oh my Godd! Oh my Godd! Oh my Godd!" I ranted, frantically shuffling in my seat as I tried to find my physics book. I totally forgot there was a test today! Something to do with gravity or something and some dead guy's law on whatever..I didn't have time for that malarkey!
"Where is it?!" I spat, tossing whatever my hands came in contact with. Oh, I was so not going to pass this class.
"Jeezus, will you stop going crazy over there.. People are actually trying to study here" he grunted. He was flipping pages over the last time I checked, but now he was full on glaring at me while his chin rested on his right palm. He looked good though, I hate to admit it but his annoyed expression kinda added to his appeal in a weird sorta way.
"Uhm, hey Jackson?" I squeaked, trying to sound as friendly and polite as possible. "Could I.. Er, maybe.. "
He raised a brow at me, looking bored as he waited for me to continue.
I scooted my chair over just a little bit. "You know.. like, share that book with you while Mr.Raul's not here yet? Please!" I pleaded, smiling really widely by the end of my sentence.. Hoping to God that he was an angel behind that manly exterior of his.
He shot me a questioning look.. Which I replied with and even bigger smile, trying my best to look innocent - although the whole time I was just thinking of snatching the book right out of his grasp..
That way there was an excuse to let our hands touch..
Kidding! I was just kidding..
He sighed in annoyance but slid the big ass book towards me anyway. "Fine" he growled, muttering something I couldn't quite catch. "Just stop being annoying"
Oh, If only I wasn't in dire need of a book.. His face would've already been slammed against the table right now.
