*~*~*~*~*~*
Today's the start of the school festival. It's the only time of the year where for three consecutive days classes are suspended. It's also kind of like a fund raising event. All classes think of a gimmick that'll earn enough money for the next school year.
And what's great about it is that it's open for everyone, even outsiders.
"I really hope our gender-bender cafe earns a lot this year" Clarissa, one of the girls who helped make the maid costumes said.
"I just hope some hot seniors come in for some coffee" another girl cut in. "I wouldn't mind taking their orders" she let out a little purr.
"Really you guys?" I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "Am I the only one who thinks wearing butler clothes and waiting tables suck big time?"
Rachel scoffed. "Are you kidding me April? You out of all of us here make that outfit work. You could even pass for a guy for all we know"
Not to brag, but I knew It looked alright on me, but I didn't think It looked that good? All I could think of was what if Liam saw me wearing the black suite holding a tray of beverages? Then again, I was already unlady-like as it is so..
"Okay. Listen up people! Today's the first day of the festival and we need customers. Call your friends, your ex's, call your family, call your psycho next-door neighbor--I don't care. Just tell everyone you know to get their buts down here and stop by our class' cafe. Am I clear?" Virginia's authoritative voice boomed throughout the room.
Lots of nods, yeah's, & uh-huh's were exchanged and before I knew it people were already fishing for their phones, dialing whoever they had in their contacts. Virginia always was a persuasive president.
I flipped my phone open and decided to call a friend of my own.
"Well if it isn't my favorite girl?" A teasing voice answered.
Rolling my eyes I replied. "Oh I Didn't think you had just one favorite girl. Thought you had a whole army of them?"
He snickered. "True. I do, actually. But they're all nothing compared to who's calling me now"
"How sweet" I said with obvious sarcasm. "Hey I've got something to tell you"
"You've finally realized your undying love for me and now you want to leave Liam? Took you long enough, piggy" I could just picture him smirking at me.
"You know, I'm actually quite surprised Liam's let you live all this time you two've been frien--"
"Bestfriends" he annoyingly corrected.
"Whatever. Anyway. I called to ask you if you wanted to come over?"
I decided to ask him now before I changed my mind.
"Don't you have school today, little piggy?" He sounded suspicious but interested.
"Yes Sherlock, I do. It's our school's festival today and fortunately for you, outsiders and manwhores are welcomed." I smirked.
It took him a second to answer. "Is that so.. Well.. I'll have to check my schedule, see if I can squeeze you in and--Oh look, it looks like it's your lucky day"
"Oh happy day" I faked a sarcastic british accent.
"Hey piggy, can I bring a friend along?" He asked, well.. more like ordered.
