Chapter 12: Sibling Love

"Sister... do you still Love me?"

His voice cracked at the question.. he tried to hold his tears and trying to prepare himself for the worse..

Michaella simply ignored him as she is observing the newborn child..

"Sister? Do you still like me?" He asked as he try so hard to not cry..

He is impatient with Michaella's silence..

He ran up to her then tugged her sleeve.. "Sister... answer me.. please" he then couldn't contain himself anymore.. he cried in front of her again.. that is when Michaella finally gave him a glance..

"Hhmm?" She simply mumbles. "Answer me sister! Please!" He said while crying. "Lucas?" She finally say his name..

"What do you think Lucas?" She then looked at him with her dead stare.. "Do you still think this sister still love you? Or as much as like you? What do you think?" She asked him more questions but he just stare at her with sadness in his eyes..

"I-I still would like to think.. sister still like Lucas.." he said in a very gentle and shy voice...

"If you think that.. " she mumbles.. he then expected an answer.. "If you think that Lucas, then I still like you then" she said with a sweet smile..

Lucas was shocked and happy.. he finally recieve a smile! A smile he recieve! He is so happy that he wants to shout it to the world.. the smile might not compare to what he usually had before but this is enough! Enough for him to live through life..

"It may be not as before.. but I still like you. I like you enough to call you brother again" she then suddenly spoke those words..

Ssssss..... BOOM!

Fireworks inside Lucas' long empty heart finally started booming.. warm tears again started flowing.. but this time it is not because of dispair but because of sweet happiness..
