Lauren

On our way home, Rae fell asleep. We got home and I carried my baby to her room.

"Welcome home ma'am." My maid greeted us.

"Hi Candice. What's for dinner?" I asked.

"I cooked shrimp ma'am." Candice said.

I just nod. I went upstairs and to Rae's room.

She's my princess. So delicate even though she's a pain in the neck sometimes with her genius antics.

I put her down, and change her clothes.

"Mommy." She said. But she's still asleep.

"I'm here boo." I kissed her forehead.

I'm at the balcony, thinking. Sipping my coffee. I sighed.

"I love you Camz." A found a tear fell down from my eye. I still love her, I love her for 11 years now and it still hurts.

What am I doing with my life? 'Dude you're doing fine. You have the career and a wonderful daughter' I know, but still there's still missing 'she's missing in your life' but I think she's with someone else right now.

My conversation with myself is cut by a sound of Rae's sleepy voice.

"Mom, what are you doing here?"

"Boo I'm just thinking." "About Camila? I saw her picture on your room mom."

I turn my head to her. "I know mom. The way you look at her, there's pain and love." She said.

"I maybe just a kid but I know what love is, because I felt how you love me, I'm thankful to have you." Rae continued.

"Come here smart ass." I smiled. I hug her, "I love you boo. Thanks for lighting up my life." I kissed her forehead and she kissed my cheeks. "I love you mom, don't cry you look ugly." She laughed. "You're mean." I said pouting.

"Mom! Don't give me that look." She said crossing her arms. I smiled. "Come on, let's sleep. Race you to bed!" Then I ran towards my room.

I can't thank God enough for giving Rae.
