Leaving home sweet home

I rolled around my bed tossing and turning. 30 minutes ago I had goodbye to my best friends, and now I was leaving to go to Ireland. Everything seems so unreal.

"Honey we're leaving in a few. Bring your bags down."

I rolled my eyes at my moms comment. "Jeezus lady! I'm coming GOD DAMN!" I muttered into my soft blanket of which was about to be packed by the movers rushing in and out of my room packing up all my belongings. I leaped off my bed and unlocked my phone, turning on my music and blasting "Life is a Highway" by rascal flatts. Grabbing my suitcase and lunging my english flag backpack over my shoulder, I walked out of my room and headed downstairs to the door.

"honey if you go any slower we'll miss the flight" My mom roller her eyes at me. She was wearing a buisness suit and heels. Like, what the fuck lady. You wear comfy stuff on a plane, not heels! I was wearing my old, maroon high school sweatshirt that read "West View High class of 2014" and a pair of baggy, grey sweats that tightened around my ankles from pink (victoria's secret). My hair was in a messy high bun, and I wasn't even wearing makeup.

My mother nodded her head and pushed both my father and I out the door.

"Goodbye home sweet home" I whispered as we hopped in the car. I decided I could take a nap for the next hour to the airport, so I fell asleep to my music.

*******************************************

I woke up to feel nudging on my shoulder, I rubbed my eyes, and there stood my mother. I pulled my headphones out of my ears, and rubbed my face several times. I looked out to see the airport and sighed, I guess it wasn't all a dream. As we approached the drop off zone, I tightly held onto my bags and unbuckled my self. We were entering the international flights area. Which was mostly contained with asians, nothing against them, but it feels like I'm in china right now....

I gently slid out of the car, and put my bag on my shoulder as I rolled my self and my suitcase over to the airport doors. They slid open as I approached them, and my mother, father, and I stepped in cautiously.

After walking past some very appetizing food kiosks, we entered our gate; 102 B. I quickly huddled over to a seat as my mom snapped to get my attention, "I'm taking your luggage to go to check in. be back soon sweetie" I nodded, giving her the silent treatment for sending me here.

I looked out the window to see sunshine, gross. I absouloutely hated the sun, it was always so hot, which was terrible. If Ireland is anything live California in the weather ways, just shoot me already please.

"Flight 145 to Ireland from San Deigo is now boarding." I decided to ignore my parents, and ditch them to board. I stood in line next to a little girl with red hair in pig tales. She smiled her cheeky smile, which revealed several of her front teeth missing.

"Where ya flying to missy?" She said in her adorable Irish accent.

"Ireland" I sighed.

"Me too! what's wrong?" she said looking concerened, while yet still seeming peppy.

"I'm just being force to move there, that's all" I looked to the ground back to her, she smiled again and perked up a bit.

"You'll love it! I came here to visit my uncle and Ireland is the best home I know!" She screamed with excitement.

"For you..." I muttered to myself. Then behind me I heard a cough and a lady in a flight attendant uniform with bright red hair smiled and reach for my ticket. I handed it to her, and she pushed it into a machine. She handed it back to me with a fake smile.

"Seat 34 D Miss" She said in an Irish accent. I guess I'll be surrounded by these for a long time, huh?

I walked down the tunnel which let to the airplane doors, it was squished, and my parents were no where in sight. I shrugged my shoulders and continued to follow the large group of Irish people and buisness men who strolled down the hall. The floors were a dark blue with yellow specks in the pattern, and the walls were plastic and boringly white. The door was just behind the corner, an as I began to turn I could hear my parents name calling me. Stopping, I turned around to see my mom, but she was extremely pissed of.

"HONEY WHAT DID I SAY! I SAID WAIT!" She harshly whispered as to not attrack attention. I smiled and nodded, I just wanted to sit down, and now she was yelling at me, as always.

"I'm sorry," I lied, "I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss the flight!" My mom looked at me suspicously.

"Well I know you only did it to get away from us, so your seat is on the other side of the plane. happy?" She growled.

"Very" I said as I sent her a rude wink and turned around to walk away. I approached the door the airplane doors and was greeted by a blonde, skimpy flight attendant. Her hair was in a tight high pony tale, and her heels were about 2 inches. Ouch.

"Your seats over there miss" She smiled and pointed to the part of plane I was to sit in. I walked over to my seat, and found that I was stuck in economy, but I wasn't suprised. I sat by the window, and adjusted myself in the blue, rough seats. I unrapped the blanket the airline offered, plugged my headphones in and stared out the window. I layed the blanket out on my and admired the sunny California I was leaving. There was one cloud which was soft, small, and fluffy. It casted over to the left over the sun, all alone. And then and there I fell into a deep luxiorious sleep.
