Shit. I don't know what to do. I go into the backyard and look over the gate. I see Harry sitting in a chair watching some kind of movie, I think it was.
"Harry," I whisper.
He doesn't hear me.
"Harry!" I yell and he looks over at me. He stops what he is doing and comes over to meet me.
"Hey," He says as he meets me at the fence.
"Hi. I have to ask you something," I say.
"Sure, what's up?" He asks as I take a seat by the pool and he hops the fence again and sits next to me, but not too close.
"What would you do if your dad was cheating on your mom?" I ask him and he clenches his fist.
"My mum is too good for him and I would tell her, of course," He says slowly.
"I'm sorry for bringing him up," I say looking away.
"It's fine, why did you want to know?"
"My dad is cheating on my mom," I tell him as his green eyes look up at me. The reflection from the moon in the pool shine perfectly on his face.
"Kourtney, I'm..so sorry," He says looking at me and I look down.
"I have to tell her, don't I?" I ask and he looks up at me.
"I'm afraid so. Do you want me to be there when you do tell her for support?" He asks.
"I would love that. God, Harry, you are so sweet sometimes, yet so angry others," I tell him.
"I know. I'm like that with a lot of people, even when I don't want to be. I hate getting close to people, because I keep losing them," He says.
I can't believe Harry is talking about his feelings with me.
"I need a drink," He says to change the subject as he stands up. "Want one?" He asks.
"Sure," I smile.
"Oh, and thanks for talking to me. I feel like I can tell you things and you can keep it to yourself," He says before going over the fence.
"Where do you want to drink at?" I ask him. Did he really just thank me?
"My house?" He suggests.
"Okay, let me go through the front door," I say as Harry rolls his eyes. He picks me up and places me over the fence. Next, he hops the fence himself. Show off.
"Sorry for screaming," I laugh and he cracks a smile as well.
"It's fine. Sorry for scaring you," He says and I laugh.
"It's okay. I think I'll tell my mom tomorrow," I say and he nods.
Once we get into Harry's house, I take a seat at his table, and he brings two shot glasses and a bottle of liquor over and sits across from me.
"How do you want to do this?" He asks as he pours the liquor into the shot glasses.
"Where's your mom?" I ask.
"She went to a friend's house for the night."
"Oh, okay. We can play 'Never Have I Ever'?" I suggest.
"How do you play?" He asks.
"Well, you say "Never Have I Ever.." and then say something you've never done and if one of us drinks, then that person has done it," I say and he nods.
"Okay, you begin," He smiles.
"Okay..I've never skydived," I say and we both sit there.
"My turn," He says. "I've never kissed a boy," He says and I take a shot.
