✲chapter two ✲

"You're real far from Shinsuro, follow me, I'm heading there anyways."

"Nice flowers, roses are beautiful," I say with a smile, he hummed bluntly, looking at his feet while we walked, probably not listening to a word I said. "I do prefer the buds though," I paused, "you're able to watch them grow over time, it's more fun that way."

"This is awkward..."

"I'm [Last Name] [Name] by the way, what's yours?" I ask, offering my hand out, "Todoroki Shoto," he said monotonous.

"he totally avoided my handshake..."

"Oh you're Ms. Rei's son aren't you? She's told me a lot about you," I said looking over at him. He looked surprised.

"You know my mother?" he said wide eyed.

"Of course I do, she's amazing. I volunteer at the hospital, that's how I know her."

I look over at him, "your mother is such a nice and beautiful women, she doesn't deserve to be there," I say with a sad smile.

"Yeah," he pauses, "so you said you volunteer there, is that what you're going to the hospital for?"

"No, my brother broke his arm so I'm going over there to meet up and get lunch with him once he gets it checked out."

"I see," he said. I think for a moment, "would you like to join me and my brother for lunch? I'm sure he'd enjoy the company," I said with a smile. He turns away from me to think for a moment. I study him for a moment, Ms. Rei was right, he really was handsome.

"ugh, why would you ask him that [Name]! You just met him he'll probably think you're a creep! God, I'm so-"

Bang!!

"Ouch!" I yelp, falling on the floor. Yep that's right, I just walked into a pole, way to go me.

"Stupid pole," I say rubbing my forehead.

"what's up with me and falling today wtf. The floor must really like my ass..."

"Are you alright?" Todoroki asks, crouching down and examining my forehead. He lightly touches the spot and I hiss in pain, him quickly retracting his hand to my reaction. "Sorry," he says and examines the spot, he sighs, "I'll wave down a taxi so we can get to the hospital quicker and get that checked out."

After two minutes of waiting, he finally gets a taxi and we hop in, awkwardly riding to the hospital.

"So, your mom told me that you're going to be attending U.A. this coming school year," I pause and look at him, breaking the awkward silence that went on for about 10 minutes, "she also said you made it into the hero course, that's amazing! She said she's real proud," I say smiling.

He smiles and I feel a ping in my heart, "oh my gosh that was adorable," I thought, "wait what I just met this dude stop overthinking you over-thinker."

A blush begins to rise on my cheeks, "she really said that?" Todoroki asks, interrupting your thoughts.

"Yep!"

"Where will you be going then?"

A smile grows on my face, "I'll be attending U.A. as well," I wink at him, "though, I'll be in the Support Course."

He looked pleased with what I said, "so then you like making stuff?" he asked as the taxi comes to a stop in front of the hospital.

"No, I'm in it for the health part. I want to be a combat doctor of sorts," I say as we get out the car and walk into the hospital, the automatic doors opening with a swish.

"Oh," he pauses as you get yourself a visitors' pass from the front desk. "Why are you in the support course then?"

I hold up a finger as I ask the front desk lady for a bag of ice, for my head, and she gives it to me. I continue the conversation.

"The school has health students take a semester of support training for the basics, and then the next semester you get put into the hero course. But, they do make exceptions to that rule if you already have experience, or if you're just a natural."

He nods in understanding.

"Well, I'm going to go see my brother now, tell your mother that I said hi for me please!" I said, heading towards the elevator, and press the button. It quickly opens and I step inside, turning around, waving to Todoroki as it shuts close, him waving in return.

The doors close and I sigh, "I should've gotten his number," I say, shaking my head in disappointment, as I go up and up to my brother's room.
