Chapter 1

"Jakey, ano ba?" I complain as I reach for my phone.

"Anong ano ba? And what did I say about the nickname?" Juan Karlos Labajo,my best friend since second grade,scrunched his nose as I giggle through my pout.

"Wut Jakey?" I flutter my eyes.

"Wut Hailey?" He smirks.

He stands taller and I pout, stomping my foot like a little kid.

"Pwease little Juan? Give me mah phone.." I hug him mockingly.

"Pwease little Juanita? Stop hugging me." He wiggles his body in an attempt to take me off.

Apparently it doesn't work.

While he's busy wiggling around and stuff, I snatch my phone from his hands.

"Hey!" He whines as I snicker.

"That's not fair! You cheated!!! Cheater alert! Cheater alert!" He jumps up and down and points a finger at me.

I roll my eyes. He's 15, not 5 right?Oh well.

"Cheater cheater yung mukha mo! Halika na nga!" I drag him indoors.

"Hey Hailey!" My sister, Emma, greets me before turning back to whatever she's cooking up this time.

I've got to admit, although she's younger than me by a year, she's so much better at cooking than I am.

I mean, the only thing I can whip up is cereal. I even mess up simple TOAST!

JK goes to her and wraps his arms around her waist from behind.

I smile and walk up to my room, leaving them in peace. I always hated it when someone older than me would walk into me and my now EXboyfriend, Mike.

So I let the couple be.

Oh...by the way I'm Hailey Waters. The weirdest girl alive and made from Rose and David Waters(my abnormal parents). I'm 17 and best friends with Juan Karlos Labajo(obviously).

My best friend is Sofia Cruz, who's currently the girlfriend of Darren Espanto, the other friend of JK. That usually makes me the only single pringle in the house.

Usually meaning always.

I sigh and flop on my bed, grabbing my iPod from beneath my bed.

I scroll through my favorite songs and settle in with Grow Old With You, my favorite song aside from Domino.

I wanna make you smile

I close my eyes and hum along to the song.

My phone buzzes from beside me and my eyes pop open.

I hit pause and check my phone.

You have a message from Just Kidding(JK): Hey sunshine! I left na. Didn't want to disturb you from your nap and all so I didn't get to say goodbye. So...goodbye! (PS Enjoy your song!)

I smile. God this guy knows me too well.

I quickly text a reply before burying my face in my pillow, falling asleep quicker than I thought.
