All I Want To Do Is Kiss Him

My eyes fluttered open to still face darkness. I groaned reaching for my glasses, my vision adjusted and I squinted a bit to look at the clock on the wall. 2pm. I looked at Austin, sleeping like a sweet little angel. I adjusted the ruffled blankets and went to the side window and cracked it open to allow some fresh air in. As I turned around Austin took the blankets in his hands and covered his nose still sleeping.

"Awh."

I smiled at him then started looking around for a pen and paper.

"Good afternoon Austin (:"

I started writing.

"I'll be out getting some food for you and getting some fresh air. If you wake up before I come back call me, okay? xx -Anna "

I propped the note on the flower vase by his night stand and gathered my bag. Slowly opening the door trying not to wake him up. I closed it gently behind me and walked out side.

I searched my bag for some Marlboro's and a lighter. I rested my leg on the side of the hospital wall and lit the cigarette taking a drag. I quickly finished it and dropped it on the ground smashing my foot on it to make it go out. I walked to my Audi, got in, turned the engine on, as well as the heat and seat warmers, then I pulled out my phone.

"Siri, where's the nearest Panera Bread ?"

"0.4 miles from here, Anna."

I looked at the directions and drove there.

While I drove back to the hospital my phone rang

I slid my index finger over the green flashing bar and put the phone to my ear as I kept my eyes on the road.

"It's Anna."

"Anna, it's Kristy. I wont be able to pick up Austin, you know how I am. I don't really like hospitals."

"It's fine, I got it, I told you that yesterday anyways."

I snipped at her, and hung up.

I soon pulled back into the hospital parking lot, turned off the engine and took the bags of food for Austin.

I walked in and went straight to the elevator and then straight to his room. I opened the door to see Austin watching tv.

"Hey."

His voice was hoarse.

He cleared his throat obvious of his hoarse voice and tried again

"Hey."

He smiled at the response of his normal voice.

"Hey. How are you feeling?"

I smiled and sat down next to him.

"Hungry."

"I had a feeling you would be starving after hibernating."

I took the food out of the bags and placed it on the table in front of him. I helped him sit straight in his bed and pulled the table closer to him

"All for me ?"

He asked surprised

"Well who else would you think it would be for ?"

He ripped open the boxes and dug into the sandwiches and bagels,

"Damn, I love you."

He slurped his smoothie

"Love you too Austin" I smiled at him while I took a bite out of my turkey sandwich.

As I cleaned up the boxes Austin scooted over, patting the spot next to him. Motioning for me go sit next to him. Agreeing, I slowly, and carefully sat next to him. After getting comfortable he tangled his fingers with mine.

"Oh, while I was out getting food Kristy called to say that she wont be able to pick you up. Thought you might want to know."

"Oh well."

He mumbled, caressing my thumb.

"I got it though, I can drive you, wherever. I'll be your shofer for the day."

I gave him a wink.

"Thank you, Anna."

He winked back at me

After about another day and a half Austin was allowed to leave. As he signed the release papers I was on twitter, tweeting people and what not. Austin finished signing an autograph and we started walking away, my eyes still glued to my phones screen reading the tweets. Austin grabbed me by my waist causing me to squeal.

"I really hope you're more careful while you drive"

He joked, as I realized I was about to go face first into the pole we just past.

"You've been in the same car as me before, I have drove you places. I'm not that bad of a driver."

I poked him while putting my phone in my hoodie and unlocking the car.

"I was kidding, you're an amazing driver."

He nudged me. We got in the car and started driving.

"For a smoker, your car smells incredible."

"Who said I smoke ?"

I put the car in reverse, and twisted my body in between the seats to look back as I was backing out of the parking lot. Austin took my zippo and played with it. Sort of silently scolding me.

"Where to Mr.Carlile?"

I tried changing the conversation.

"I'm not quite sure."

He grabbed his chin squinting a little looking nowhere in particular. His thinking face.

I giggled

"What's so funny?"

I saw him look over at me and stick his tongue out from the corner of my eye.

I laughed more.

He reached over and started tickling me.

The car behind us honked, I looked up, laughing, realizing that the light was now green.

"See what you did !"

I slapped his bicep playfully

" I didn't do anything!"

He protested a huge grin growing on his face.

"Haha, fine. Where do you want to go ??!!"

"Great Lakes Crossing. I'm in a shopping mood."

I gave him a look

He shrugged.

"All righty then, whatever floats your boat bestfriennn"

He leaned over and kissed my cheek

"Bestfrien"

He mocked. His warm lips still grazing over my skin.

My body throbbed at his touch. Wishing I could pull over and climb on top of him all I want to do is kiss him.
