Chapter 20

Lucy's POV
Yukino...
*Flashback*

I woke up this morning very excited because Today is the day I'm going to tell her. I'm going to tell Yukino that I'm in love with her. I got out of bed and put on a plain white shirt. I had breakfast and grabbed my keys. When I walk out of my dorm I was greeted by my best friends Sting and Rogue. "Hey," Sting said as he put an arms around Rogue and I.

"Hey," I said back. My brother and Sting started talking about something but I wasn't listening because I was thinking of how I was going to tell Yukino. I mean how do you tell someone you're in love with them. What happens if she doesn't like me back. Or worse what if she's straight. 'Whatever you can't think about that Lucy' I told myself.  I mean I only met her a few months ago when school first started. I don't even know her that well.

I walked into first period. It's only been 5 minutes since class started it feels like it's been an hour. Why is this class so boring. Well not everything in this class is boring. I thought while looking over at Yukino. The teacher was talking about ducks or something. But I wasn't really paying attention to him.

Second period started and once again I was bored. Second period was another class that I had with Yukino. In this period we were just working on a project that I already completed so I have nothing to do but look around. I suddenly got a text. It was from Yukino.

Yukino: Hey, what are you up to?

Me: Nothing, how about you?

Yukino: Same

Me: Can I meet up with you after school?

Yukino: Sure, where?

Me: How about the fountain outside of the dorm rooms?

Yukino: Ok see you then.

The bell then rang and Yukino and I looked at each other while we grabbed our things.

The next few classes flew by quickly and before I knew it, it was lunch. I went to my usual lunch table. When I got there I saw Sting, Rogue, and... Yukino? She never sits with us why would she sit with us today?

"Hey," I said while placing my lunch down at the table.

"Hey," they said back to me. Rogue and Sting were sitting next to each other as always and Yukino was sitting across from them, right next to where I usually sit. I sat in my usual spot and started to eat my lunch. We were debating who's biology class was harder. After that Rogue and Sting left me with Yukino.
Alone.

It felt really awkward for the rest of lunch because we didn't really have anything to talk about. The bell rang signaling  I that it was time to go to 5th period.

The rest of the day went by really slowly but it was finally the end of the day. And I was waiting for Yukino at the fountain.

"Hey," She waved at me

"Hey," I said while rubbing my hands because of how nervous I was.

"So... Why did you want to see me?" she asked me while moving closer to me.

"Umm... Can we go to somewhere more private?" I asked. My heart rate was increasing quickly.

"Yeah do you want to go to my dorm?" She asked. Immediately my face heated up.

"S-sure," I stuttered out. She lead me up to her dorm. And sat me down on her bed.

"Can you tell me now?" she asked playfully.

"I like you, like as in more than friends." I stated looking down afraid to make eye contact. She then lifted up my chin kissed me.

"I like you too," she said sounding sad, "but, I can't be with you my father already arranged a marriage for me." she started to cry.

"What with who?" I asked.

"Minerva, I-I can't do anything about it," she started to sob, "I haven't told anyone so please promise me you'll keep this a secret, no matter what."

"Yes, of course," I said softly.

"Thank you," She said continuing to sob into my shoulder. 

*End of Flashback*
