They've been here for as long as I can remember
I can hear them wherever I go
They've been a friend
But they've also been a foe

They can have so many sounds
There's so many to spurt
Whether elequent
Or curt

They may flee with the wind
In my heart they begin
They can turn my frown down
Or tilt my chin with a grin

They can move nations
There's so much to do
They won't take too much time
To change people's attitudes

They last for generations
Good or bad
It's what they mean that carried them
Because for some that's all they had

For I am limited
But my word are not
So let them live on
While I am but rot
Becuase my words are mine
And yours are yours
So don't forget to share them
Shore to shore
