Chapter 3

I woke up with a bunch of messages in my phone.

Billy: Kach! Guess what? I'm coming soon!!! Oo! Uuwi din ako diyan! Bet you didn't see that coming, huh? See you real soon, Kach! Stay strong for a bit more, I'll come save you there.

Oh my god, uuwi din si Billy!

'Well, I was doing fine here, Billy. No need to be a knight in shining armor.' I said in my mind but I just congratulated him and told him to tell me asap when he's coming so I'll be the one to fetch him.

Realizing that I do think I'm doing fine gave me a smile on my face. It's the first time that I think I am healed from all that pain and suffering years ago.

Tangina nga pala talaga ng first love, no? Iba din yung tama sakin e.

Siguro kaya okay na okay si Gino kasi hindi ako yung first love niya. Sofia came first.

Natatawa naman ako ng maalala ko yong children's show sa Disney na Sofia the First. Hahaha.

"Ganda yata ng gising natin, ah?" I quickly looked at the person talking and si dad pala. "Hindi ka daw sumasagot sa mga katok nila, so sorry if I barged in. Baka napapano ka na dyan, e."

"Sorry, I didn't notice. Sorry po." I said as I was fixing myself.

"It's okay. Anyways, breakfast? Baba ka na."

I told him I'll be there in a minute that I would just be checking up on a few things.

Still no sign of Quen. I swear if I don't hear from him sooner, he's going to regret this.

I checked my other notifications and I think there's gonna be a reunion tonight.

Still in my jammies, I went down to have breakfast and the whole family is there sa patio.

Muntik nang maging cute na buo kaming pamilya mag brebreakfast looking like a real normal family, but seeing Gino in his boxers and a shirt reminded me of the past.

Tanginang thoughts to, di talaga macontrol e. Konting sanay pa, and I'll really be a hundred percent okay.

They greeted me good morning except for Gino na tahimik lang na nagpatuloy kumain habang nagbabasa sa iPad niya matapos niya ko makita.

Wow, snob?

After breakfast, I made the most out of my day by fixing my stuff and preparing for work tomorrow. I had to do this early in the day since the babes invited me to go out tonight.

"I thought we were going out? Why are we staying here?" reklamo ko ng makapasok sa bahay ni Bea na siyang binawian nila ng reklamo na di manlang daw ako mangamusta muna.

I was surprised to see more familiar faces because hindi lang pala kami ng babes ang nandito.

These were Gino's friends, if I'm not mistaken.

"Kath, long time no see ah?" at isa isa silang binati ako.

"Ah.. shit sorry. I forgot your names." but I reassured them that I know who they were.

Kamustahan here and there, and they're throwing hate on me for leaving the country just like that.

After a bunch of kamustahans, Bea announced that we are officially starting the reunion. Sooo unnecessary, Bea.

"Reunion, e hindi nga kayo friends nung college?" I suddenly realized.

"Oh edi reunion ng ChaGi." nakakalokong sagot ni Katsumi at iniharap sakin yung phone niya na on-call kay Gino. "Eto na bro, pagbuksan na kita. Wait."
