2.6 - "Dahil mo"

Chapter 6

"Shit-fuck." reklamo nung nakabangga kong tanga.

Si Gino pala.

At dahil may dala akong coffee, it spilled on both of us, pero mas madami sa kanya.

Gusto ko siyang sisihin na ang tanga din naman kasi niya, pero tanga din naman ako.

"Shit, Gino sorry!"

He was very annoyed na matapunan pero nung makita niya ko he calmed down a bit.

"Sige, ok lang." and gave me a cold shoulder at umuna na.

I followed him with my eyes and saw him enter the coffee shop I went to.

Nakipag kita siguro kay Bianca.

Mabuti na din pala't natapos yung usapan namin at umalis kaagad ako.

I might not be able to stomach her words kapag nandun din si Gino.

He seemed.. different yet.. familiar.

I've seen that coldness before.

Okay siya sa bahay kanina, ah? Anong problema naman non?

I came to my sense ng makitang pwede na pala tumawid.

Bakit ko ba iniisip pa yon? Di ko na siya para problemahin pa.

He's Bianca's problem now. Bahala sila.

As I was crossing the street, my phone rang and it was Billy calling on facetime.

"Hello?"

(Hey Kach..) his voice sounded like either drunk or tired.

"What's up? Are you drunk?"

(No, no.) He immediately answered. (I'm just tired.)

"Oh." I didn't know what else to say. He's calling at midnight in New York, he must want to tell me something.

I waited for a few seconds and even sat by the benches outside the office building.

What is it, Billy?

I didn't wanna grill him and keep asking questions. Knowing him, he likes silence when he's down. The way I used to when life beaten me back then.

Minutes passed. I was about to tell him na kailangan ko na bumalik sa office when he finally spoke.

(I miss you, Kach.) then he sighed.

"Billy.." I was worried that he'd be begging me to be with him.

Because he did one time in the past.

(No, I.. I didn't mean it like that.) he tried to chuckle but I sure know it's fake. (Well, I do, but not in thaaat way. I mean..)

"It's okay. I miss you, too, buddy." let it be clear, we're just buddies..

There was a small pause but he answered right away. (Gotta rest now. See you in a few.)

"'Kay. See you, goodnight."

*toot*

Hearing him like this, parang ayaw ko na siyang dumating dito.

Di ko alam kung bakit. Feeling ko kasi kaya niya lang gusto umuwi ulit dito ay para sakin? Assuming na kung assuming. Feelingera na kung feelingera. But I know my Billy, he's that sweet.
