I have no idea what changed. Maybe it was the weather, with it being the first day of spring or maybe it's because today is my birthday. Whatever it was that sparked this change in me, is the reason why I am now signing myself up for . I suppose it was Lizzy that put the thought in my head. Her and her girlfriend have been going strong for a year now and it has become abundantly clear that as the days go on, I am becoming more and more single. I don't even know how that is possible but hey, I am the queen of defying the impossible.

I guess at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what got me to this point because I am here now and all I have to do is hit the submit button but the reality of it is pushing down on me and I am seriously starting to second guess myself. Maybe I should just check my profile one last time. Surely that will help to put my mind at ease.

Name: Ava Castel

Username: Avababy99

Age: 19

Hobbies: Reading, going to the beach, binging T.V series, constantly singing and dancing even though I'm often making a fool of myself.

Employment: Register operator at Bunnings Warehouse. (But have taken a few weeks off to enjoy my Uni holidays).

Looking for: A guy with a sense of humour. Someone who is kind hearted, passionate and motivated.

My god I sound like a walking cliché. Honestly, did I write this or did I copy this off of a 12-year old's blog? I wish I had some amazing quality or job to put down that would catch someone's eye like I'm a judge on Australia's got talent, or I can play the saxophone or maybe I can ride a unicycle? But no, I'm stuck with being a check-out chick who basically admitted to having no life and only being good at embarrassing herself.

Hitting the submit button, I cringe a little but my moment is interrupted as I hear the doorbell ring. Looking at my clock I see it is 11:30 a.m. on the dot. Since when does Lizzy show up on time? I was sure I had at least another hour to get ready. Looking around my room I grab the first shirt I see and match it with a pair of black leggings. I shrug to myself in the mirror. It's only Lizzy and she's used to me seriously lacking in the fashion department area.

"Ava my darling, are you ready or are you taking joy in making me wait for a change?" Lizzy says in this fake posh voice which makes me roll my eyes but a smile creeps up on my face none the less.

"Yes, yes dear. I'm coming but I think the real question is, are you ready for me?" I reply mocking her voice and simultaneously posing against my bedroom door. I was aiming for a sexy, mysterious look but judging by the laugh that boomed its way out of Lizzy's mouth I failed. Quite miserably at that. Mental note, I really must remember to practice my 'sexy' look later.

I go to give her a hug but she stops part way and that's when I notice she clearly has something under her shirt. "Is that a pregnancy bump?" I joke, putting a hand to my chest in mock surprise.

"You caught me!" Lizzy laughs. "No, no you silly billy. You didn't think I would forget your birthday now did you?" She puts her hand under her shirt and pulls out a present that is so poorly wrapped I can't even begin to describe it. I mean it is literally just covered in tape and I can barley see the wrapping paper. I take it from Lizzy, laughing at her inability to wrap the simplest of items and begin unwrapping it, which isn't an easy task, let me tell you.

Inside, there is a picture frame that you open up like a book. On the left-hand side is a photo of me and Lizzy from primary school, covered in paint and holding up our masterpieces with a big, cheesy smile on our faces. On the right-hand side is a photo of us posing in front of the limo that was taking us to our year 12 ball. Of course, she picks the photo of us goofing off and not one of the two hundred nice photos our mums actually took of us.
