Third Person POV
Taehyung hugs himself tighter as he steps down the steps and walks at the back side of the house where Jeongguk is. Walking like a penguin, while hugging himself and teeth clacking. He sees Jeongguk standing there, phone still by his ear but he's looking down. Taehyung ended the call before coming out of his house and even left his phone on his bed.
Taehyung is now hundred and a one percent sure that something is troubling Jeongguk and this time he chose to come to Taehyung. Taehyung comes to right infront of Jeongguk. The mafia boss is wearing a black hoodie, his face a little bit hidden under the expanse of the hood till his head. His usually parted hair were falling on his forehead.
Jeongguk immediately looks at Taehyung when he stands infront of him. Jeongguk's hand falls to his side, his grip still tight on the phone as his eyes lock with Taehyung's worried ones.
"Jeongguk." The deep, velvety voice of the boy he loves---full of concern. Jeongguk keeps looking at him, unable to say anything---unable to do anything. The nightmare is fresh in his mind and he can't get Taehyung's helpless and crying face out of his mind. He's afraid to close his eyes, thinking that those horrible images will be in front of his eyes in no time.
But Taehyung is here. He's standing right infront of him and there is nothing more he could ask for. It's okay if Taehyung won't talk to him right now or if Jeongguk might not be able to touch him but be can see him, right infront of his eyes and that's enough. Knowing Taehyung is fine, that's enough.
"Jeongguk?" Taehyung gently shakes the mafia boss by his arm and Jeongguk snaps out of his thoughts.
"Yeah?" Jeongguk utters. He gulps a little and now tries to avoid Taehyung's eyes. Taehyung was utterly confused by Jeongguk's behaviour and how more as now Jeongguk is trying to look away from him. Taehyung's hold on Jeongguk's arm provides him warmth in this chilling weather.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Taehyung says, hoping Jeongguk would look at him. Jeongguk tenses and his heart beat quickens when Taehyung gently places the tip of his fingers on Jeongguk's cheek and turns his face towards himself. Jeongguk's eyes are wide and hold surprise.
Taehyung pushes away Jeongguk's hair off of his forehead and places his palm over it, then over his cheek.
"You're burning Jeongguk. You have a fever." Taehyung says, feeling Jeongguk's hot skin against his palm.
"I'm fine. Don't worry." Jeongguk says but makes no effort to pull away from Taehyung's touch. It all feels so nice. Too typical. As if everything's alright. As if Jeongguk and Taehyung are some typical---just in love couple but it's not. None of it is easy at all.
"Jeongguk! You should rest." Taehyung wanted to ask Jeongguk about what's worrying him but he doesn't ask he now knows that Jeongguk isn't feeling well and he should go home and rest.
"I swear I'm okay Taehyung. I just wanted to see you---that's all." Jeongguk says and closes his eyes, sighing heavily---in Taehyung's touch.
"What---what happened? Why did you wanted to see me at---this hour?" Taehyung says, his hand resting on Jeongguk's chest as if he's been doing it for years.
"Where is your coat? It's fucking cold outside." Jeongguk says, looking at Taehyung only in his silk attire.
"I forgot." Taehyung sheepishly says. "But it's not about me. You definitely have something on your mind."
It feels like it can happen and it can be easy. That maybe my love for you can be of a normal person.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, really but I couldn't have just---I couldn't just not see you after---".
