Emma POV

I shook as I chucked my keys down on the table by the door.

Come on Em... calm down.

Calm

Down.

I gulped and Said "Danny?"

"Yes, sweetheart. I'm in the kitchen."

I straightened out my skirt and walked across the dark wood floor.

I turned around the corner and Danny was talking to two men. One with... a scar going down the side of his face. Coated in bruises. Another who was looked like Christian but with darker features.

"Oh Emma. Why, oh why did you have to make things so difficult?" His voice was dark.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I said with a stable tone.

"Oh yes, you do. Don't try lying to me because its just going to make things worst."

Oh God.

"All of this could have been avoided. Now you know, there's not much I can do."

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because, the deal I made with your Brother and best friend a while back was that as long as my secrets do not get made known to you, everyone stays safe. But seeing as that was impossible for them to do..."

I could feel my heart beat quicken against my chest.

"Right about.. now." He checked his wristwatch.

"Someone will be going to Check on Oceane. And...." He checked it again.

"Now. Someone will be coming right down the stairs..." I heard heavy footsteps.

I turned around and Christian was there.

"I'm sorry." he mouthed.

I dared not look at him.

Before I knew it.

I was running.

Towards the door.

"AFTER HER!" I heard Danny yell.

I jumped down the steps and we hair swept my face as I did so. I just kept on running into the night.

And I don't know where too.

Flynn and Drew are both to far way.

I have no car.

Just my legs.

Then I heard it.

A survey of a car that came to an abrupt stop in front of me.

I came to a halt with the flashlights blearing at me.

"GET IN!" Said Drew.

Without hesitation, I opened the door and got in.

"FLYNN GET THE HOSPITAL NOW." He said on the phone.

"W.."

"JUST F***ING GO." He hung up and swerved around the corner once more.

"Quick explanation. When I was in your house when I was checking out those boxes I planted three bugs in your house. One in the kitchen, one in the Living room and one in the upstairs quarters.  I had my suspicions something was going to go down." He swerved around again.

"On top of all my investigations, I was checking in on you. Seeing as this was the first time you were going to be alone with him since you found out, I stayed on the line. Found at what Danny was doing and here I am."
