I tried to fly away, but it was already too late. They had landed right beside me.

Frostbite was the smallest, a very pale shade of green, and he often got picked on by the other two. Flash was the beta, and pretty much the definition of sassy. Electric was downright mean, and seems to think Flash is his girlfriend, but Frostbite disagrees. Electric walked up to me.

"What are you doing up here, dragonet ?" He said. "Shouldn't you be down there looking for food or something?"

I sighed. "My family was bugging me."

Electric growled at me. "Not as much as we're going to bug you if you stay here. This is our territory. Now get out."

I edged a bit further down the shaft.

"I don't want to have to listen to you guys," I said.

"Then I assume you're leaving," Frostbite sneered. "You're not going to fight us, are you?"

"I'm staying right here," I replied.

"Yeah, sure, you can stay," Flash teased. "Only if you win!"

I crawled back a little more. "What? Fighting? I never agreed to a fight!"

Electric grinned. "Well, if you aren't going to leave by yourself, I suppose I'm going to have to make you."

He glared at me with cold, red, glittering eyes. "This is your last chance. Leave, or I'm pushing you."

I walked backwards even faster.  Was he really going to push me off? A second later, I felt my body being shoved off the metal bar. One wing was slashed through by claws, and the other was torn by metal. As my arms flung out, I grasped nothing but air. I closed my eyes, thinking this would be the end. To my surprise I landed on something soft. Oh no, I thought. Ohhh no. I had landed in a shopping cart.
