I woke to sunlight streaming through the French doors, realizing I was still laying in Haku's bed, curled under a mass of blankets. I shifted aggressively, trying to figure out where he was, until I spotted him slouched in a chair near the bed. I crawled from the warmth of the sheets to where he sat, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Haku?" I tried to speak in a low tone, but the grogginess made it come out more like a gurgled mixture of letters. I tried again, this time tapping my finger against his arm. His eyelids lifted and he stared at me. One he registered the situation, he stretched carelessly which nearly sent me tumbling to the floor.

"You slept here? On a chair?" He nodded sleepily.

"I was watching out for you, but I must have fallen asleep." My face felt like a thousand burning suns.

"That's okay. Thank you."  I started to turn around, slightly hunched still from bending. I turned back to face him. "Next time-you know, I won't mind if you want to sleep in your own bed." We stared at each other for an extensive moment.

"Okay," was all he said.
