2 weeks later
Today is the day I can leave the hospital. My parents have been here a few times in those weeks to visit me and today Angelina is picking me up. They are really nice but I'm kind of nervous about living with them.

Dr Karev enters my room. "Hey, she's here to pick you up. She's just filling in your release form."

"Okay" I nod. Dr karev is amazing. I talked to him a lot during my stay here. "Are you excited to go home?"

"Hmm.. I don't know. I'm excited to leave the hospital, but I'm not sure about living with them. They're nice, but I don't really know them."

"You'll be fine." He smiles "you will get to know them and it's clear that they love you"

"How do you know that?"

"You're their daughter shi."

"I guess you're right.." I sigh

"But what do you mean.. you're excited to leave the hospital??" He asks fake offended "aren't you gonna miss us?"

"Of course I will" I chuckle "you guys have been absolutely great, but I don't like lying in bed all day every day"

"Haha I'm kidding." He laughs pushing me playfully. "I'm going to miss you too kiddo"

That moment Angelina enters the room and walks over to me. "Hey, how are you feeling?" She asks kissing my hair.

"Pretty good" I smile

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yes" I nod and stand up from the bed. "Thank you Alex. For everything" I say hugging him.

"You're welcome kid. I wish you all the happiness in the world and know that you can always call me if you want to talk."

"Thanks, I will" I say letting go of him. "Bye"

I follow Angelina through the hospital to the exit. A car is supposed to be waiting for us, but all I see is flashes coming from outside.

"Shit" I hear Angelina mumble under her breath "this is going to be hectic. Stay close and follow me."

"Okay" I nod kind of nervous

"Here, take these" She says handing me a pair of sunglasses "they'll help with the flashes"

I take them from her and put them on "thank you"

"Ready?" She asks and I nod in response. The door opens and we follow this big guy outside towards the car. He pushes everyone away from us, but it doesn't really help. People are pushing and yelling at the same time.

I feel myself sweating and I start panicking. I freeze and stare at Angelina, who steps into the car. I don't know what to do. I get snapped out of it when the bodyguard places his hand on my back making me flinch. It reminds me of how Chris always touched me.

A tear rolls down my face as he leads me to the car. I get in and he closes the door getting in the passenger seat himself. The driver starts driving.

"Are you Alright?" Angelina asks me.

I notice my breathing is really fast and more tears fall down my face.

"Hey hey" Angelina softly says as she rubs my arm making me look at her. "It's okay, you're okay"

I keep breathing faster, almost hyperventilating. "Calm down honey. Here, follow my breathing" she says and starts breathing in and out slowly.

I follow her and notice myself getting calmer. "There you go" She says as my breathing is back to normal "are you okay?"

"Yeah" I say softly

I take out the phone brad and Angelina gave me and play a game. Chris never let me go outside on my own and he homeschooled me so I don't have any friends. That's also the reason I don't have social media yet.

"Are you hungry?" Angelina asks me after a while

"A little" I say. To be honest I'm starving but I don't want to be rude.

"Alright, we'll get some dinner somewhere at a restaurant before we go to the hotel"

"A hotel?" I ask confused "aren't we flying to California tonight?"

"No, it's kind of late already and I don't want to come home in the middle of the night. I need a good night rest and I think you do too. We'll leave tomorrow morning."

"Okay"
