Noah stood cautiously trying to figure out if he should make a run for it or shoot the young man before him. But if he shot him would that even matter? Would it have any real impact on him? Would this affect his son? He just let himself stand there feeling both terrified and amazed. But then it dawned on him.

"You're telling the truth!" He said, though it was more to himself than to Derek who stood wolfed out before the sheriff.

"Yes", Derek answered him in a low growl anyway.

And for the next thirty minutes Noah flipped out, hyperventilating about all the times he was called for weird and gruesome things that happened here in beacon hills, things he couldn't explain and often stressed himself out about. Noah hadn't the slightest idea what had been going on but he just knew he had a job to do and that was keep the citizens of Beacon Hills safe and most importantly his son. But with this new information he wasn't so sure he could do such a thing anymore, with human criminals yes but these hordes of supernaturals throughout Beacon Hills he didn't think so. This was just too much and the fact Stiles was in the mix let alone a whole other bunch of teenagers he couldn't fathom what was going on and he didn't like that his son was in danger he wouldn't be able to fully protect him from, especially not with this and his wife's own family issues that could be a big problem.

"You mean to tell me this whole time Scott was a werewolf?" Noah asked. "And Stiles knew? And Scott knew Stiles knew and you knew and everyone else knew but I the sheriff did not?" He yelled the last part.

"Yes", Derek sighed.

"I want my son out of your house and out of this supernatural bullshit!" Noah said pointedly at Derek, now face to face. "Now!" He yelled.

"Trust me I want him out too but I don't think it'll be that easy", Derek told him truthfully.

"It's the mate thing between you two isn't it?" Noah asked softly.

Derek had been committed to fully telling Noah the truth as much as he could as he felt it was necessary and better than continuing to leave him in the dark about all the supernatural things that happened right under his nose. Though when he'd got to telling Noah about him and Stiles being mates he sort of flipped out but made a remark saying, "huh I'm not surprised exactly as you are sort of Stiles type, though he'd never really say it aloud". Of course that threw Derek off but Noah brushed it off with a smile saying he'd known his son better than Stiles would ever know.

"Yes sadly", Derek spoke after refocusing his attention on Noah.

"Look I don't under this whole mate thing even after you've told me", Noah sighed. "To be fair the whole knowledge thing is Stiles thing but I don't want to be a jerk to you Derek but I can't lose my little boy, he's all I have left". He told him.

"I would kill everyone involved if they harmed him again!" Derek growled, wolfing out.

Noah knowing he hit some odd nerve within Derek decided to go another route, "I really don't understand this mate thing but I can see you care very strongly for my son I can't promise anything about being okay with this as it's very dangerous", he said, Derek nodded showing he's listening.

"And you're a bit older than him so that's also something but if you can promise to look out for him I'll give it a shot", he said. "But again no promises". Noah told him.

"I completely understand", Derek said. "But I will do everything in my power to keep Stiles safe". He promised.

After more hyperventilation Noah and Derek to get back to Stiles. But soon as they arrived at Derek's loft and parked Noah had been summoned to the station for some serious reason and had to leave, Derek promised to take care of Stiles until he returned.
