Millie was nervous on the car ride there. Baylee reached over and held her hand and it soothed Millie a little bit.
"You know they might want to pump you." Paige said sitting in the front.
"Why would they bother I'm nine months what's the point? Plus what's the point of putting me through any extra pain right now?" Millie said talking a little fast out of fear.
"Your lookin' a little big is all." Paige said. Millie turned red in embarrassment.
"Paige stop teasing." Mrs. Brown said focusing on the road.
"I'm not! It's true is it not?" Paige said.
"Paige." Mrs. Brown said. Paige turned to the girls.
"Is that not true Baylee?" She said.
"Hey I'm not in this conversation." Baylee raised her brows and turned her head so that she was looking out the window. Paige turned back around in her seat and Baylee faced forward and side-glanced at Millie. Millie's eyes were filled to the brim with hot tears. Baylee unbuckled her seat and slid into the middle seat and buckled. She put an arm over Millie and Millie pushed her face into Baylee's side. She sniffled a bit as she cried.
"Paige why'd you have to make your sister cry?" Mrs. Brown sighed. Paige turned in her seat.
"Oh Millie stop that. I wasn't bein' rude or mean." Paige said.
"I'm fat and everything's big ok?! I can't help it!" Millie yelled and sobbed.
"Mills come on, we went over this." Baylee spoke gently but Millie continued to sob.
"Millie your not fat your pregnant. There is a difference between fat and a baby." Paige said.
"I wasn't bein' rude about your breasts Millie. It's good if they're big any ways. It means the baby is healthy. Plus big breasts aren't bad. Women like big ones." Paige said. Baylee wiped Millie's eyes.
"B.b. big breasts." Paige giggled.
"You know what else starts with a b?" Baylee said.
"What?" Millie sniffled.
"Beautiful!" Baylee grinned.
"Big beautiful breasts!" Paige busted out laughing and everyone couldn't help but laugh a little.
"How's that Millie eh?" Mrs. Brown laughed.
"Ok this is getting out of hand." Millie laughed.
"How so? We all have em'. Except Baylee she hasn't got much." Paige laughed.
"Paige that's rude!" Millie defended.
"No it's fine! Let's keep it that way." Baylee laughed genuinely glad she didn't have much.
"My word you three are something else." Mrs. Brown said.
"You mean them two." Millie corrected.
"Alright everyone out." Mrs. Brown said as they pulled into the hospital.
Baylee took Millie's hand and they walked in as Paige went ahead to let them know Millie was there for her appointment.
"What a waddle." Paige grinned coming up from behind them as she passed and popped Millie on the butt.
"Mills don't get upset, your the cutest thing on the planet it's all adorable." Baylee said. Millie linked their arms.
"She better sleep with one eye open." Millie said.
"Be nice." Mrs. Brown said walking up. Baylee and Millie sat on the waiting couch. Mrs. Brown walked over to check Millie in with Paige.
"Hey your shaking... your going to be ok." Baylee said and gently put her arm over Millie. Millie leaned her head and rested it on Baylee's shoulder. Baylee gently kissed the top of her head and rested her face there until five minutes passed and a nurse called Millie's name. Millie held Baylee's hand tight as they walked to the room. It was like a normal hospital room with a bed like so. Millie sat on the bed and Mrs. Brown sat in the chair next to the bed and Paige sat on the couch. Baylee stood on the side of the bed closer to the door while Millie sat facing her with her arms around Baylee's waist.
"This will be us very soon girls. All in the room waiting on a baby." Mrs. Brown smiled.
"That is if Millie doesn't chicken out of doing it at home like we know she will." Paige said.
"Will not! I hate it here why would I want to give birth here?" Millie said.
"Hello everyone." A female doctor said coming in the room. Millie leaned off Baylee as Paige told Baylee to come sit on the couch and as Baylee moved the nurse saw Millie's chest.
"Oh goodness. That's ok we'll definitely do a pump today the nurse said writing it on her clip board. Baylee saw Millie's eyes water up a little. Baylee elbowed Paige as she smirked and Paige quit smirking and looked at Baylee. Baylee had a hard gaze.
"Is she gonna cry?" Baylee whispered. Paige looked.
"Why don't you go stand with her?" Paige said. The nurse was getting the pump ready and Baylee stood up and went to Millie's side. Millie came to her and hugged her tight around the neck burying her face in Baylee's neck and she started bawling.
"Oh no we're not going to have a visit like this again are we?" the doctor said.
"What do you mean again?" Baylee said.
"Last time she locked herself in a bathroom." Paige said. Baylee knew Millie thought the breast pump hurt but she hadn't realized how extreme until Paige explained that.
