"Do be careful." Mycroft says. I hang up making my way to the hospital in the dark cold London night. I walk into the white sterile hospital and see a lab coat hanging on a rack. I take it off the rack placing it on myself, Simple but effective. I then make my way up to her room to hear shuffling coming from the other side of her door, Someone is in there. This is not good. I Crack the door to see a tall man in all black clothes, short brown hair, with a gold chain on his neck. Assassin, he was sent here to finish the job on her. I noticed a tray with needles, a surgical mask, and a sergical hat and gloves on it. I grab a surgical mask placing it over my face and the hat on then grab one of the needles. I look at it more closely to see what it was, local anesthesia. Perfect. I knocked on the door to hear him quickly shuffle. I open the door to see him sitting in a chair so casually. "Sir, visitin' hours are over." I say in a Scottish accent. He bought a very poor disguise. "I'm her brother, please let me stay." He tries to lie to me. I close the door locking it in the process. I began to scan everything in the room making sure of no hidden weapons. I go over to one of the machines keeping up my disguise to see it has been tampered with. He cut her oxygen and her heart monitors. He was going to smother her. I look over at him to see he was gone from the chair. I felt the man's arms wrap around my neck strangling me. I struggled to get free from the chokehold. I try to grab his arm from my neck but it was no use. Elbow to the side. I use my elbow and hit him in the side hard enough he let go. I struggled to catch my breath, wheezing and coughing but the assassin didn't give me the leisure to rest. He came at me once more swinging. I managed to escape his punches. He leads with his right foot giving away his next move. He went in for a punch but I ducked it, giving me time to jab the needle in his neck releasing the anesthesia. He took the needle out of his neck looking at it shocked. "Who sent you?" I punch him as He wobbled fighting the drug every second. He tried to fight me but he was too weak. His body was succumbing to the drug, He fell on the floor with a loud thud. I grabbed his collar making him look at him. "Now tell me who sent you. If you don't, I'm throwing you out the window. You have two minutes or it is your death." I try not to yell if I do the nurses would get very suspicious and catch us.
"He did." He breathes.
"Name! Give me a name!" I whisper threateningly. 'He's getting thrown out the window regardless but I need to know.'"Him." He says before passing out.
"Him? Who is him?" I ask grabbing the collar of his black jacket. He's passed out, I let go of his coat to see Annie struggling to breathe. I rush over to her monitor trying to hook it back up as quickly as I can, she was gasping for air. I finally got it hooked back up once I did she started breathing again. I felt relief sweep right through me, just in time. I brush her hair out of her face with a soft grin. Once I noticed I was grinning I put my hand down to my side wondering about this emotion I was feeling. 'She's a new John, that's what it is. Yes, yes, that's precisely what it is.'I go over to the man searching for him. I looked in his coat pockets, his trousers, nothing. 'This man knew he might get caught. Clever.' I open the window then go over to the man bringing him to the window tossing him out. I heard a quicker thud than what I was expecting. I look out to see we were only on the first floor. 'Well...thought I was higher up. Ohhhhh they built this hospital deeper in the ground that's why I thought we were higher up.' I shut the window locking it behind me. I felt my phone start ringing. "What Mycroft ?" I answer knowing all to well who was on the other side of the phone.
"I take it you got there just in time, little brother."
"Yes." I answer plainly clearly annoyed.
"I can tell you had to fight this assassin correct?"
"Yes."
"I can tell you're out of breath and your voice is hoarse. Let me guess he was choking you?" Mycroft says with a smirk knowing all too well, wishing he was there to watch as things unfolded.
