2. Clever

Annie wakes up to a gun being fired upstairs, Gordo was barking having a fit. She grabs her gun racing up the stairs with silent feet, slamming the door open pointing her gun in the room. She sees Sherlock with a gun pointing it at the wall while in a blue bathrobe. "Sherlock, what's going on?" She asks him completely confused. "I can ask you the same." He turns to her tilting his head to the side as he looks at her gun.

"I thought someone was shot." She admits. "Oh silly girl, I'm just bored, I haven't had a case in weeks." He exclaims waving the gun in the air as his blue bathrobe flung behind him like a cape. He stops then looks at her. "Where did you get a gun?" He asks her tilting his head to the side once more.
"I've have plenty of guns." She tells him casually lowering her gun. "Why?" He asks her wanting more insight.

"I'm from the south, Sherlock." She gave him a short explanation.  "Oh yes, the south with their fascinations of guns, simple rednecks. Tell me, do you know how to use it?" He looks her dead in the eyes. "Yes." She says shortly with confidence.

"Is that so? Just because you were in the Navy?" He asks her coming closer to her, inches from her face. "Not just that, I have used guns since I was eight. I go huntin' all the time." she explains to him. "I see, you and John must get along great then." He turns around to sit in his chair. She watches as he picks up a white teacup and starts drinking. He then turns to her getting ready for a question. "You slept on the floor?" He asks her with no emotion. ."Of course, I did, I have nowhere else to sleep." She States the obvious then sat on the couch. "I see, you should be used to sleeping in weird places." He says referring to her time in the military. "Yes." She nods putting her gun in her sweatpants' waistband.
"Why did you come here since you haven't talked to John in years?" He asks her curiously, he couldn't make the connection.
"I wanted to travel and see new things." She says as she lays on the couch not really bothering to answer any more questions. "How is the floor?" He asks her.

"It's fine." She says as she closes her eyes. She felt a pair of eyes staring at her. She open to see Sherlock starring. "Clearly it is not since you are in pain." He tells her flatly. "My body isn't used to it yet." She mumbles.
"How much sleep did you get last night?" He asks her trying to hide his concern.
"An hour." She breaths slowly drifting to sleep. She heard Sherlock get up coming over to her. She soon felt a very warm blanket placed over her body. She heard Gordo start barking. "Gordo." She mumbles too tired to get him but wanting him close. "Sherlock?" She slightly opens her eyes asking for him to bring Gordo to her. "I got him." He goes down to her room then heard them both come up the stairs. She went to turn but the gun in her waistband prevented her to do so. "Give it to me, I'll put it in safekeeping. " He holds his hand out asking for the gun. She pulls the gun out of her green waistband holding the barrel, handing it to him. "John gave you this?" He asks her as he looks at the engraving. "Yes, I'm going to sleep now." She mumbles exhaustedly. Gordo was struggling to get on the couch with her, by standing on his two back legs while his front two tried to get up. She watched as Sherlock picked him up placing him on the couch. Annie warped her arms around him, holding him close. "Hey, baby." Annie kisses his sweet head cooing at him like a child.

"Sherlock, listen to me. You don't need to be concerned about her. She's fine, I know everything about her." John whispered.

"Clearly not, you haven't spoken to her in year's, John. She could be a spy for all we know. You didn't even know she had guns on her. She has three more in her truck for God's sake." Sherlock whispers back.

"So? Shall I remind you I carry a gun." John defends Annie.

"All I am saying John is be careful. I wouldn't be getting to close to her." He says flatly trying to look out for his best friend.
