Annie walks upstairs to the kitchen making myself some coffee. "Today is the big day." John smiles at her."Yes, I hope I get the job."
"I'm sure you will, you have an incredible background." He smiles at her giving Annie hope. "She has the job." Sherlock says from his chair as he drinks his morning tea.
"Yeah, I know." John tells Sherlock as he places on hand on his hip while the other was on a chair. "She's the most qualified, has a military background, and she's an American female." He tells them.
"So just because I'm the minority I got the job?" Annie asks him a bit upset.
"Basically." He says as he looks at her.
"I see." Annie sighs upset then grabs her coffee heading to the door disappointed.
"No, they aren't just hiring you because you're a woman. They need to because you have more training and background." John tells her trying to lift her spirits.
"I hope so." She then looks at Sherlock for the truth.
"That's not the only reason they are hiring you. They want you for what John said." Sherlock reassures her. Annie smiles at him before he quickly looks away. Why does he always look away when I smile at him? She hugs John before leaving out the door. "Good luck dear." Mrs. Hudson smiles at me. "Thank you." Annie returns her smile. She gets in her car pulling up the directions to the station.

She finally parks her car, just staring at the station. Well, this is it. Time to see if I get the job. She got out of her truck then locks it going inside the department.

She was greeted by a chief with a warm white smile. "Hello, miss Lockaruba, I'm chief Preuit." He shakes her hand. He had olive skin, Grey speckled hair, warm brown eyes, a little beer gut belly, he was short in stature for a man but taller than her. "Hello." She smiles back nervously.

"Please, come into my office." He says kindly.

An hour later she walks out with a giant smile on her face, she got the job and starts next week.

She drives home parking the car. She couldn't wait to tell John and Sherlock! She quickly locks her car before entering the flat. Annie runs up the stairs to the living room to see it empty. Damn, I really wanted to tell them. She decided to make them dinner so they would be in a good mood. Annies pulls out some sweet tea she made this morning, drinking the whole glass then started feeling funny. She cut up potatoes then heard a loud crash before seeing a man standing in the living room while Gordo was barking. She jumped, cutting her thumb in the process. Annie looked to see a puddle of blood forming on the cutting board, she felt such a sharp deep pain. 'Almost cut my thumb off.' She looks back to see the man gone. She goes running in her room but trips on the chair, falling on the floor. "Fuck!" She moans as the room spins. Annie left blood all over the floor before going to her room slipping on the stairs. "Fuck!" She exclaims as she falls. 'What is wrong with me?' Her whole world was spinning while she began to sweat intensely. Annie got up putting her hand on the wall trying to balance herself but was too weak. She ran into her room pulling out a first aid kit. 'I need to go back upstairs, I need to go back, I have to call the paramedics but my phone is on the counter.' She grabs the kit crawling up the stairs struggling as she went while Gordo barked for her. She finally crawls into the kitchen but she couldn't pull herself to the counter to stand up. She heard the front door open. "ANNIE!!" She heard Sherlock yell for her frightened. "Help." Annie trys to scream but only a whisper came out. Gordo was next to her whining asking for help.  "ANNIE!" Sherlock runs upstairs. "ANNIE?!?" John screams completely terrified. She heard the living room door slam open and the guys rush to her. "Annie??" Sherlock panics. 'I've never heard him panic before' "Tea." She mumbles trying to tell them what happened. She looks at sherlock completely terrified, She could see how concerned he was for her. 'The Sherlock Holmes was scarred for me.'  "Sherlock, John....help me." She grabs Sherlock's arm.

*Sherlock's pov*

John has insisted on buying Annie a cake to congratulate her on getting her dream job. I thought it was a waste of time celebrating a job she was qualified for. I have never been one to celebrate such things nor do I celebrate in general. Should have got her a practical gift as such as a bed. "John is this necessary?" I ask him as we wait in line to buy a cake. "Yes Sherlock, we have to celebrate. This is a very big deal to her." He tells me defensively.
