Sinking Feelings Part 2

I am glad people love this story and I enjoyed writing it.
I can relate to Rikku a bit.
She was a character I always wanted to write in a True Blood fanfiction and now I can.
I believe everyone deserves someone to love, even people who are different.
I'm a hopeless romantic, who loves shoujo manga, and root for the underdog like Sesshomaru for example, and like Eric in the show, even in the books the Sookie Stackhouse Books. I read one so far and am hooked, it's better than the show on certain parts of the books.
Though I write some cheesy lines I just admit I read my own stories just enthralled by the beauty of what I write just like readers do.
When young I went through terrible times, bullying, even child abuse that nobody knew about cause I was afraid to tell others. When I got older I told my story. Reading stories with vampires, demons, and watching anime, putting myself into the fantasy of all those things took me away from things I went through. I still deal with my past, psychologically, due to it haunts me, so immersing myself in writing, in reading, well it was home to me. I do like gaming, but I prefer to put my head into my writing and reading over video games at times.
I love writing. I love the adventure of writing, and reading too.
It fullfils the hole in my own heart, that needs to be filled.
I thank all who read my works and adore them, because writing fanfictions is the world to me.
I love writing them and commenters who react to my characters, well I enjoy such reactions, and comments, they make my day every damn day.

I hand Sam the rag, and walk to the back, going to his office after washing my hands and drying them.
I go to my phone, picking it up, seeing I have a text.

Rikku, this is your sister Lin's lawyer, we need to discuss Lin's will, you are the sole person she put on the will.
Come see me in New Orleans. At the French Quarter Pub, so we can discuss legal proceedings as soon as possible.
Lawyer Dan.

I blink down at the text.
"Her will? Why am I on her will?"
I say to myself outloud.
I set my phone down and still on the charger.

Last thing I knew was mom was an alcoholic, after she found out I was wanting a sex change, and Dad well he began doing drugs, shooting up black heroine. Lin well she was a smoker, me I stayed away from those things.
So I bet this will Lin was leaving me with an inheritance and my parents might want a piece of the action, I don't know.

"Son of a bitch."
I sigh out wiping my brow of sweat.

I look to Sam's clock and it was 12:55am, so I decided to call the lawyer.
I call back the number of the lawyer and he answered immediately.
He had a thick British accent.
"Ah, Rikku. When do you want to schedule talking over Lin's will?"

"A week if you do not mind, next Friday? Gives me time to ask days off to go to meet you, and other things I must do."
I tell Dan the lawyer.

"Of course. Just to let you know, my schedule is only from dusk until before dawn."
Dan says.

"You are a vampire?"
I ask and he chuckled at my reaction but got serious.

"Yes, and Lin and I were quite close. Close as lovers, but she decided she did not want to be turned into a vampire though I begged. She wanted to stay a human, which I understand. She loved me, and I her. But I guess we will meet each other in the next life."
Dan replied.

"Did my parents not like you two being together?"
I ask Dan.

"Yes, they disowned her like they did you. Your parents are clean of drinking and drugging, but are apart of the cult that hates vampires, so you must tread carefully coming here to meet me. I suspect your parents were the ones who were involved with Lin dying. Lin lied to you, she was dying of cancer. In fact she was murdered, they somehow poisoned her for weeks, and well it was too late, she died with me holding the phone for you to talk to her. She regretted taking your parent's side on wanting to be transgendered. Because once she met me, she understood what you went through, the heartaches, she feels regret about everything. She truly wanted to reconcile with you and be in your life, that is until she died. Listen to me, be careful coming down here, your parents know that you are on the will, and your sister was a wealthy woman, they will try to kill you off to get her inheritance. To steal it from you.
You should bring protection with you, meaning older vampires than me."
Dan tells me and I place my other hand on my harshly beating heart on my chest.
"They were part of the church The Fellowship Of The Sun. They killed many of my kind."
Dan tells more.
"If you know some vampires older than me ask them to protect you promise me that."
