After teleporting to the monument, she summoned her fog to cover her and her tracks as she ran toward the boardwalk. She found a little cafe on the wood path, after running from a crazed mugger, and immediately fell in love with the cafe. It’s name was the Narwhal Bistro, and inside were navy blue walls with white table, matched with white tables. The lady who worked there, Milah, was another reason to love the place. She has wisdom beyond her ages, and knew about Jacqueline and her powers.
“Jackie! Mi amor! I was wondering where you went! Sit down, I’ll make you your favorite emparedado (sandwich)! Tell me what happened the last two days!” Milah begin fretting, around Jackie, and pushed her at a chair near the counter.
“Well, I ran into two Avengers, practically begging me to help them fight Havoc. I told them that I like to fight on the down-low. So yeah. I also stopped a robbery. Stupid bastard got away.” Jackie retorted, going back to her spanish-american accent.
“Amor! You refused to help the Avengers plea to help the monster that is spawn of the diablo himself?” Milah exclaimed, “I’m very disappointed, amor, I thought better of you. Plenty of men and women are dying, trying to bring him down. Their children going into orphanages and foster homes. Remember living like that? You told me how much you hated living like that. You also told me that Carmen would always tell you that children somewhere else have it worse than you do. Would Carmen want you to do that, Jacqueline Christine Sanchez?”
“No, senora. She wouldn’t.” Jackie sighs. Milah was like her grandmother, and to Milah, Jackie was like her granddaughter, despite the 35 year difference.
“Now go, Jackie. Bring down the diablo titan. I’ll have your emparedado when you return from your ‘battle’.” Milah pushes her out the door, and locks it behind her. Jackie rolls her eyes, and teleports to the last place Havok was. An island off of Maine. Jackie misjudged her teleportation skills, and landed on a tiny rock near a cliff. She tripped and landed on her shoulder in weird way, causing her to shriek in pain.
“You hear that, Sammy?” asked a familiar voice.
“Sounds like someone changed her mind.” Responds the other voice, coming closer and closer to where Jackie was clutching her shoulder.
“Well, well, well, what do we have here? A fifteen year old girl in pain, because she can’t walk correctly.” Taunts Falcon, helping Cosmo/Jackie up to her feet.
“Can you please shut up and help my shoulder, I think it’s dislocated.” She grits her teeth in pain and glares at the two men, forgetting about her british disguise.
Spiderman walks over, and pushes her shoulder right back into place, not after another yell of pain. “Thank you, now can we please get rid of him?” Jackie pleads, impatience seeping through her veins.
“Yeah, we have to go through that tunnel one at a time, though.” Spiderman explains, biting his tongue down, when he realized that Cosmo teleported them to the other side.
