Miles's P.O.V:
Beep
Beep
Beep
BeepGroaning, I pushed my pillow deeper into my head.
Beep
Beep
Beep
Beep
Beep"Ugh, just shut up already", I complained throwing a pillow at my alarm clock.
Smash
Jumping up to the sound, I realized I smashed the alarm clock into my bookshelf knocking a picture frame of me and my parents at KennyWood smashing it.
"Miles! I know I didn't just hear something break!"
"Uhhh, no mom that was just", I said scrambling out the bed and trying my best to cover up the mess with dirty clothes "knocked something over is all-"
My mom suddenly opened the door to my room and looked all over to see the source of the sound. Then she zoned in on me and glared.
"Miles, what did you do?!"
"Mom I told you I didn't break anything! Something just Fell off the shelf-"
"ESO ES MENTIRA OÍ ALGO ROMPERSE!"
(That's bullshit I heard something break!")"Mamá te digo que no rompí nada!"
(Mom I'm telling you that I didn't break anything!)"NO USES ESE TONO CONMIGO!"
(Don't use that tone with me!)"Mamá no estoy usando un tono-"
(Mom I'm not using a tone -)"Cuando le diga a tu padre entonces ya no estarás hablando en ese tono."
(Watch, cause when I get your father then you won't be speaking in that tone anymore-)"No estoy usando un tono, y no rompí nada, algo acaba de caer !"
(I'm not using a tone, and I didnt break anything, something just fell!)"Mmmhm, bueno, si vengo después y si algo no se ve como cuando lo compré, entonces!"
(Mmmhm, well if I come in here later and if I see ANYTHING that doesn't look as good as when I bought it, then all hell will break loose!)"Mamá no rompí nada!"
(Mom I didn't break anything)"No rompí nada mi culo-"
(Didn't break anything my ass-)If I messed up any of these translations I am deeply sorry, but I'm trying my best to stay intone with the character while also trying not to mess up also languages.
Then she slammed my door and continued to cuss my out all the way down the hallway.
Sighing, I sat back down on my bed. "Well that's one way to wake up," I mumbled rubbing my hands on my face, and side glancing at the alarm clock on the ground, "why did I even set the alarm today, it's Saturday", I thought. "Wait, I had that date with (y/n) today", I mumbled, getting a smile on my face. I had been wanting to ask her out for months now, and finally I would be able to actually do it. "Maybe I should text her for a little bit to see how she's doing- wait does that make look desperate? Wait, what if she doesn't even see this as a date!? What if she doesn't even like me!?", gasping I thought something even worst, "What if she likes Ganke!?"
"Miles! Get down here right now!" My father yelled from downstairs.
Sighing, I rolled my eyes and thought, this is going to be a long morning. Well at least this keeps me from thinking about all the what-ifs, of this going entirely wrong. Right before I left, I took one more glance at my alarm clock on the floor and the broken picture frame hidden under my pillow. "I'm going to have to replace that today before she finds out", I mumbled. I knew I would have to go to the mall to get a new frame, which is a 30 minute drive to and from my house. If I hurry and get it now then I would still have some time to get ready for my date today, since it was only 10:40. Grabbing my phone I headed downstairs and got ready to face the wrath of my father.
11:45 a.m.
After breakfast, and a huge scolding I received by my dad about talking back to my mother, my mom said rushing out the door to go to work,"Miles I need you to go to the store for me and grab me a couple things. I put the list on the fridge, make sure you get them before 1, so your dad can put the food in the slow cooker and dinner could be done by 6."
"Alright, I'll go right now," I said getting my coat of the rack, "Dad you want me to get you anything before I go."
"Yeah, get some hoagies from Mike's for lunch, and then go pick up a package for me at the postal office."
"Alright, see you later." I said going out the door, and closing it. I looked at the list and noticed that there was a ton of things I needed to get from at least 5 different stores across the city. Each store was at least 25 minutes away from each other, and as regular Miles Morales I would probably get done with this whole list at about 4:30, at best, meaning I would miss my date with (y/n) and I could NOT let that happen. Making sure that no one saw me, I slid into the ally way near my house and turned invisible, pulling out my web-shooters And flew into the air heading to the closest location on the list. If I swung to every location on the list it would take me at least 10 minutes to get there, and I would still be able to get to our date, but just barely. "As long as I stay on task, and don't get any distractions", I mumbled, "Then I can still attend this date."
12:59 p.m.
"Ugh, this line can't be any slower", I mumbled standing in the deli line to get a pound of fresh shrimp for dinner. I was number 49 and the clerk just finished number 16.
"Excuse me young man, but do you know where my grandson is? His name is Dave." An old lady walked up to me and asked.
Looking at her and then back to the front of the line I replied, "Um, no mam, I didn't see you grandson anywhere."
"Oh well alright", she said sadly, and started wobbling to another person to ask about her grandson. Sighing, I looked back at the number box in front of me, then back at her. I knew I couldn't get distracted, but I just couldn't sit with myself, as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, and know that I had an opportunity to help this lady and her grandson, but I didn't do it because I had a date. The clerks were still on number 16, so if I'm quick enough I could help this lady find her grandson and still get the shrimp for dinner, while also staying on track for the date later.
Getting out of line I walked up to the lady and said "Hey Miss, I'm pretty sure I have time to help you look for your grandson. What did he look like?"
"Oh, thank you", she replied happily, "My grandson Dave is a average height boy, with blond hair, a red T-shirt on, and he was wearing black shades today, if I recall it correctly."
"Ok Miss, well I'll go look for him, and you try to contact him on your phone." I said quickly walking away to find this boy.
"Ok all I had to do was find a blond boy, with shades and a red T-shirt on. Sounds easy enough", I thought, " I mean I find bombs and criminal hideouts on the daily, so this should be a piece of cake.
But little did I know that this was no where close to easy, and the date I hoped to have with (y/n) today, would slowly but surely go down the drain.
