Landing on the final rooftop I crouched down and took a multiple deep breaths. I was absolutely exhausted, and being flung through three walls only made it worst, because now I had a headache. Miles didn't seem to be in any better shape than me though because he barley even made it up the building before he stumbled and took deep breaths taking his mask off.

"Well, I'll say that, that went pretty well." Miles said after catching his breath and standing up.

"Oh, ya think so?" I replied standing up, "I think it could have went a lot better if you would have just listened to my plan."

"Look I said I was sorry! How was I supposed to know that the door was wired to the security system!?", Miles countered.

"Touché, but I still feel that if  we would have just followed the plan, then we wouldn't of had to deal any of those problems in the first place." I replied walking to the edge of the building were the emergency stairs were.

"Well, at least we got what we were looking for", Miles replied following me to the stairs and jumping down the first flight of stairs and stopping ,"and hey, if it makes you feel any better, I-I'll but you lunch tomorrow as a apology."

Surprised, I tried to look at his facial expression to see what his intentions were, but he wouldn't even look at me. I mean, of course I liked Miles, maybe even a little more than a friend should, but he probably just meant this kind gesture of food in a friendly way like he usually does when Ganke's around.

So smiling, I caught up to him and replied, "Sure, but if we're going with Ganke again, then we aren't going to any Korean food places. Last time we went with him, he wouldn't stop talking about how the dumplings should have steamed instead of boiled, until the owner literally kicked us out because we were causing a disturbance."

"Who said that I was inviting Ganke?" Miles mumbled still refusing to look at me.

"What was that?" I asked but Miles just ignored me and climbed though the window to our hideout.

Our hideout was some apartment house on the bad side of town, but on the inside it was a live-in bachelor pad that could make even a rich person jealous. There was a big flat screen tv in the living room, a huge couch, a pool table, and there was even a giant kitchen with a considerable of food in it. I've asked Miles on numerous occasions what this place was and how he found it, but he would always shut down and he refuse to tell me. So eventually I just let it go.

Sitting down on the couch , I opened a (f/c) portal summoning the two green tubes of the monster serum Kingpin created and I put them down on the table.

"Okay so all we have to do is create a counter-serum and then give it to the authorities so they can help the people who took it."

"Sounds easy," Miles said grabbing two cans of soda from the fridge and then joined me on the couch, offering me one. "So you ready to do this?"

Accepting the can and setting it on the table I replied," Like we have a choice. Do you Have any music we can listen to while we do this?"

Excitedly, Miles pulled out his phone and for the millionth time, played Sunflower through the speakers in the house that he had Blue-toothed to his phone. Sighing I thought that this was going to be a long night, and I started analyzing the chemicals in the serum with my powers.
