Chapter 2: Back To The Past

Avril POV
" Where did she go?" I asked the two siblings from the witch family. Kathy looked just like how Jace looks clueless. I sighed then I saw Kathy with the book in her hands reading everything then after a while she gasped loudly.

Jace and I rushed over and asked " What happened?" She said "She is a little safe but the portal for the past opens every two full moons meaning in every two months, it also stated that she should be careful because what she does in the past may affect the present and the future".

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked clearly not catching up on whatever she was saying. Then Jace said " Acacia can not come back to the present until two months....." there was more but I had this feeling he didn't want to tell me at all. Being my usual self I pressed on.

" The thing is the Era she went in was the 18th century a time where the world was unstable, a lot of wars and power hungry people walking around not to mention poverty among the poorer class and countries ruled by a Monarchy.... the worst thing is that there are 80 to 90 percent of the population are supernaturals as myself or immortals".

To the look of this situation it sounded really bad. I hope Cace is okay and not freaking out right now. " Is there anyway we can communicate with her because World History is not one of her favorite subjects?" I asked by the looks of it a light bulb was lit in Kathy's mind then she said " I have the perfect idea".

Cace (Acacia) POV
As I went through the portal the light engulfed me so much I had to close my eyes. Then after a while it was like I was falling from the sky. When I opened my eyes I saw the beautiful waterfall and the river down below and I prepared myself for the fall, I caught my breath and in seconds I was in the water. I lifted my head above the water and I tried to swim but once again Physical Education wasn't one of my favorite subjects .

I had nothing else to do but scream my throat out then I went under water drowning.

I was partially unconscious when I felt something strong lifted me out of the water and carried me to shore. It checked my pulse and then it sighed like it was holding back a breath. I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't it was hard. The person or thing lifted me up in its arms and was carrying me, by this act of courage I had to see my savior then my eyes barely opened.

It was a man dressed in black his hair was black and his eyes were green like a forest, he had light around him then I mumbled out weakly " angel" until I fell fully back into unconsciousness.

Ashton POV
I was just walking by the waterfall when I saw something falling from the sky. I was so pissed by the King my cousin that I went to cool down. This waterfall always cooled me down because it reminded me of my mother when my siblings and I were younger.

Then from nowhere I heard a splash I became alert instantly and I wondered if it was an intruder or something. I rushed over the shore in a second then I saw her, she was trying to swim but failed miserably. My eyes were locked on her she was very beautiful. I shook the thoughts out of my head besides I am getting married in less than a month from now.

I realized she stop fighting and she was now underwater Crap! I have to save her. I jumped in the water and I dragged her up in my arms then I laid her on the shore line I checked for a pulse and luckily she had one. I let out a breath I had no clue I was holding.

Then I did what any human would do I took her up in my arms and I held her tight. She was magnificent her hair was dark brown and her nose was so cute, but her style of dressing was certainly off . It made me wonder where she came from . Then she opened her beautiful crystal like blue eyes and I stared at her just like she did me.

I tried my best to keep a cold face because I was forced to married the eldest daughter of the second counselor's family. Then she did the unthinkable she spoke the soft words and said " angel" that I know it would instantly capture my heart. I brought her back to the mansion and said to the human servant " See to it that the guests chamber is fit and aid her until she is awake",then I carefully handed her to the guard beside me.

He should know what to do then I walked to my study to deal with some business and while doing that trying to figure out her origin.
