[𝟏𝟑] 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧

my hands wrapped around the warm coffee cup as i made my way to the gazebo, mine and minsik's special spot. i saw him already sitting on the steps of the gazebo. i took the spot next to him.

"hey what's up?" he asked.

"oh i just thought we'd catch up. so seoyeon, huh? what do you think of her?" yikes, too direct. dial it down, hyorin.

"seoyeon? what?" he appeared to be confused.

"about her joining the company," i elaborated, slowly transitioning into the actual topic that i wanted to discuss.

"she's okay," he answered briefly.

"just okay? but didn't you guys... you know... do it?" i cringed at my wording.

"where did you hear that from? i didn't tell anyone!"

"so it's true."

"yes. and no!" he looked panicked, "i was incredibly super intoxicated. i barely remembered it. the only reason i remembered it was because i was naked in her bed the next morning. it was a huge mistake."

"okay but if it was such a big mistake then why'd you let her rub your thigh the other day?"

"because i couldn't stop her," he muttered.

"you couldn't or you wouldn't?" i pressed.

"i could not."

"what do you mean? if she's doing it against your wishes then that's sexual harassment!"

"remember when you told me to let you know when i'm not afraid to tell you the truth?" i nodded. "well i've been afraid for a while now. one of the truths i've been hiding has to do with seoyeon. she has a tape."

"a tape?"

"not a sex tape." he explained, "before i joined the company, i was running around with a bad crowd. i hung around with seoyeon and some members of dayzey. no one knew about it of course. i tried to keep it on the down-low. whenever we hung out, we'd do drugs. sometimes, it was marijuana."

"marijuana? minsik! that's illegal! you could go to jail for years or be fined a shit ton of money! that could destroy your career." i stressed. "this isn't la!"

"you don't think i know that? but what's even worse—"

"it gets worse?" i gasped.

"yes," he sighed. "i thought i had left that life behind me, especially after i cut her off. unfortunately, the morning that she was there, she waited for me to sober up before telling me that she had a video. a video of when i was smoking marijuana."

"but if she was there, wouldn't she also get incriminated?"

"it was only a video of me smoking. she had left her phone on a stand and it was recording me the entire time, from when i lit it to when she came back to retrieve her phone."

"oh my god! she's blackmailing you! for what?"

"it's not just me that she's blackmailing."

"if not you then—jay! oh my gosh. that's how she got into the company. jay did it as a business move so that his artist's and his own company name wouldn't be tarnished." minsik nodded before shoving his head into his hands.

"that can't happen. jay has done so much for us. one of his artists going to jail? the stocks will definitely go down!" i freaked out. my mind was going into overdrive. "where's the video?"

"she showed it to me on a usb but the internet stores everything. we don't know how many copies she has or who she's sent it to."

"that's why we need the help of our friends," i suggested. "come clean to them. they're a bunch of immature children but they know how to think outside of the box."

"fine," he agreed. i pulled out my phone.

minsik and i got into our respective cars and drove towards my building. once we got to my penthouse, everyone was already seated since yezi had opened the door for them.

as soon as minsik and i walked in, we dove right into the conversation. minsik explained the whole predicament to everyone. they basically had the same reactions as i did.

"okay. we need to formulate a plan," yezi stated. she wanted to help us even though it wouldn't affect her if the tape were released. i definitely chose the right roommate and friend.

"anything electronic that she owns, we need access to it," hwimin spoke.

"so basically her phone, her computer, ipad, usb," woojae clarified.

"we'll split up into teams. it's easier and more efficient this way," junwon added.

the teams ended up being:
yezi ⋯ hyorin
minsik ⋯ gyujeong
junwon ⋯ hwimin
woojae ⋯ haon

"okay yezi and hyorin, you're on phone duty. minsik and gyujeong, usb. woojae and haon, laptop. hwimin and i will check for any other items she has," junwon declared.

"now go go power rangers!" i screamed. all but yezi gave me a judgmental look before exiting.

i turned to yezi once everyone left. "what's almost every girl's weakness?"

"shopping."

the entire plan had to be done in one day. otherwise, she would figure out that something was wrong and missing.

before yezi and i could start our part of the plan, we had to do a little shopping of our own first. we went to the closest electronic store and bought what we needed. the real work begins tomorrow.
