I walked outside with my briefcase to my car and I opened the backseat door and threw my briefcase in the back. I got in the front seat and sat there thinking.
Oh fuck
I was supposed to go to my mother house right now. Why did I make other plans?
"I'll text her and let her know I'll be over tomorrow" I said as I shot her a text
I turned my car on and drove out of the parking lot
A little while later*
I pulled to Marvin's house as my gps told me that I arrived. I detached my phone from the charger and got out the car as I pressed the lock button on my keys. I walked up to his door and rang the door bell.
After standing there for about 3 minutes. The door flys open and of course it was Marvin.
" Michael wasssup bro" I said hugging me all roughly
Is he drunk?
I pulled him back because he smelled like alcohol
"Come on in man" he said as I walked behind him.
I walked in the living room and everyone greeted me when they saw me. A brown haired woman got up off the couch and started walking towards me.
"You must me be Michael.. I'm Andrea Marvin's wife" she said smiling
I couldn't help but smile and give her a hug.
" it's nice to meet you Andrea.. Marvin talks about you all the time" I laughed al title
"Oh I know he does..but you know?" She takes her hand and rest it on the side of my neck "I never thought you would be this handsome in real life" she said as she was biting her lip
Is she flirting with me?
"Marvin is literally across the room" I'm thinking to myself
"Ohh baseball trophies" I said purposely distracting myself
I walked over to the counter and touched the trophies as I saw his Marvin's name on them
"This was in 1998. I think I was 20. I was the best player on the team at that time but of course I tore my ACL so I couldn't play for the rest of the season" he said breathing heavily
"You told me you played baseball" I said him
"Yep..that was because I didn't want you to think that I was some nerdy Jackass that used to wear baseball hats" he said and we both laughed
"But I want you to meet somebody" he told me
I bet you 100 dollars it's a woman😂
He directed his finger to follow him and so I did.
I walked into his sun room and there was this woman looking out of the window
"Scarlett?" He said
She turned around and she gave me look. She smiled at me and licked the top of her lip. Body was shaped like an hourglass. Scarlett slowly walked up to me and started touching all over my chest. I turned to look over and Marvin but she moved my face back her direction
"Marvin told me all about you" she whispered as her fresh minty breath brushed across my face
I chuckled a little as her fingers ran through my hair.
"Uh..he said you'll be here and I wasn't expecting you to be this touchy in person" I whispered as I pushed her away and walked out of the sun room
"Michael?" She yelled
I slowly turned around and fixed my tie as I stood there and waited for her to talk
"What's up?" I said to her
"You know? I remember that former wife of yours.. Naomie" she said
"How the fuck do you know about her?" I asked giving her a furious look
"We were friends since 98... long, hard and strong, I've just being just been trying to reach her for the past five years now.. no reply" she said walking up to me
"And I thought.. maybe you get me to her, you know set up a date for coffee at the nearest coffee shop" she suggested
"Look Scarlett, I don't want any dealings with her. Naomie is somewhere that I don't care about right now. If you want to figure out where she is then you find a way.. that just ain't my protocol" I said walking off
"Then what is your protocol.. hmm? Because.. I know you've been trying to talk things out with her after she cheated and you quickly divorced her after that" she explained
"What was I supposed to do Scarlett? Stay with her? I wanted something more but she fucked me all over and fucked my best friend in our bed where we made sweet love in, I couldn't get over that shit. She was all I had at that time" I yelled
She pulled an envelope out of her bra threw it on the table. I looked at it and looked back at her. I slowly grabbed it and I saw Naomie's name.
"It was a supr-" I cut her off
"Shut up and let me read this" I said opening the envelope. I pulled the paper out and unfolded the paper
It read:
Dear Michael,
I miss you so much. You know I can't go back back and fix the past and I told you many times that I'm sorry. I tried to send you a voicemail but I wouldn't think you would listen even if it was an emergency. So I wrote this letter letting you know hat I would love to work things out with you and maybe we could start a family. Michael you're all I have. Hopefully I'll see you around

I balled the paper up and put it up against my face.
"Michael.. I know where Naomie is..I only asked where she was just see what you would say to me" she told me
"I don't...wanna see her" I said and I walked out of the room. I walked to the living room and grabbed my coat off the couch. Marvin saw me heading to the door and he jumped in front of me to stop me from leaving.
"Aye aye mike.. where you going? The party just getting started" he said
"I gotta go.. got business to take care of" I moved him out of the way and walked out of the house
I got to my car and sat back as I tried everything in my power not lose it. I got Naomie's letter out of my trench coat and looked at the bottom of it and saw a number.
