The woman was still in her jacket but with an officer's badge pinned onto the front now, and a black gun belt around her waist. She looked smugly confident, tapping her foot impatiently. "Well?" Obi swallowed nervously. They'd been in a few tight spots before, but nothing to this extent. An elite Ite officer had caught them in the middle of a job. She knew where they lived and where they worked during the day; knew their names, what they looked like. She might as well have been pointing a gun at them.

"We were just out for a walk. You can't blame someone for that. However, trespassing on someone's property is a whole different matter." Davey crossed his arms. Obi gave a small smile at his attempt to basically intimidate an elite Ite officer – the most fearless group among the four islands.

"It's not illegal if I have a warrant to be here, sir. And that still doesn't explain why both you and miss Obi are wearing masks."

"If you have a warrant then where is it?" he countered.

"It's not on my person right now. You still didn't answer my question."

"I'm not answering anything until you provide evidence that you are supposed to be here. I'm no fool, I know how the law works." She raised her eyebrow at that.

"So you've had an experience with the law? Care to elaborate in what way, because I find it hard to believe that you were an officer of any sort, nor have you ever worked in any of the offices on this island. I would know if you had." He remained silent.

"Your silence leads me to believe that your experience wasn't through legal means. Am I right to assume this? Sir."

"Look here officer." Obi caught her attention. "We don't really know why you're here, so could you tell us why you and your squad decided to grace us with your presence. If not, would you kindly let us go back to our business." She thought for a moment. "Where are your squad anyway?"

"You'll find that I'm alone right now, and I'm here because you exhibited suspicious behaviour when I saw you earlier. I stuck around to see if my hunch was correct about you miss." She smirked. "It would seem that I was." It was Obi's turn to smirk now.

"And it would seem that mine was too 'officer'." They both looked at her confused.

"Are you accusing me of impersonating an officer?" she chuckled.

"Oh, I'm doing more than just that. I'm saying it's the truth. Tell me again, where is your squad at the moment?"

"I've told you this, I am alone."

"Why is that? Last I checked, Ite aren't supposed to investigate situations on their own; especially if there's already suspected behaviour. So either you were lying about your squad being here; or you aren't really an officer." The woman pulled on her collar. She didn't look confident anymore; she looked uneasy, her eyes shifting between the two quickly. "I..."

"Son of a vulture!" Davey stepped forward to confront her. Obi held her arm out to stop him.

"Leave it. It doesn't matter anymore." She reached up and unstrapped her mask, smiling at the woman. "No point in having these on anymore. Not tonight at least." Davey gave her a look before taking off his own and untying the bandanna. She looked at them in disbelief.

"Why are you taking them off? Are you planning to kill me to save yourselves?" She reached for her gun. Obi laughed.

"Relax. We don't need to do that. After all-" Obi walked closer to her, backing her up against the wall. "Who would you tell that wouldn't arrest you too for pretending to be an officer? I'm sure they'd be very interested to talk to you if this little meeting was let slip, don't you?" she patted her shoulder. "Maybe next time buddy." She and Davey went to walk back in through the back door.
