We both sleep through the alarm the next morning. My mom has to shake us and yell at us for us to wake up. It's 8.34 am. We're late.
We quickly get dressed in our UA school uniforms and jump on the train. Since I live pretty close, it's just 20 minutes to school. Shota is still sleepy, his head is rested against my shoulder, and his eyes are closed. He hasn't even tied his tie. I put my arm around him and look out through the window.

"Today we're going out. We're gonna do patrol work in different parts of Japan. All of you will be split up and will work alone."
I sigh and look over at Shota. We're not allowed to go together. But I guess it's good for our training, since we graduate soon. All of us are assigned a city in the nearby area. Even if the bullet trains are fast, we can't travel all across the country. My city is about 25 km away from the one assigned to Shota, so we're not gonna be that far away from each other.

I'm walking down the streets in my hero costume. Patrol work is something a lot of heroes do, even if it's boring. So far, nothing has happened. The city is calm, it's still before the lunch rush. Everyone is either in school or at work. Absolutely nothing happens. I just keep walking.

My phone buzzes in my back pocket. I pick it up and check it. It's a message from "Shota 💕💕".
"Wanna grab lunch at 12.30? I can take the train."
I smile at my phone and quickly type a message.
"Yeah, sure. See you at the train station. 💕"
At least I don't have to spend all day without him.
