Line upon line in red and black
Too far from home to e'er turn back
Sleeping under boughs of green
Seeing lands that they had ne'er seen

Upon giant beasts the size of houses
That were no doubt quite scared of mouses
With trunks the size of cedar trees
T'would bring low an army with a single sneeze

The men no doubt could share
Tales of deserts and oases quite fair
They could probably tell you too
Of jungles and skies e'er blue

Ole gaffer would gawk and stare
At them all in exotic flair
He'd want to tell good ole grandad
About the strange foreign men from Harad
