Everyone was confused as to why Fury had scheduled a meeting right when the sun started to set. It's rare they have a meeting this late, it was always early as hell or at high noon.
Wanda kept checking the time and bouncing her leg, "I swear if I have to miss this new episode of-,"
"Calm your horses, Maximoff. You'll get to see that shitty reboot soon," Fury enters with a big owl on his shoulder and Maria by his side.
"Don't tell me you're into birds now, too," Natasha groaned.
Fury rolled his eye and sat the owl down on the table. It's blinding white eyes scanned the room, no one could really tell who it was looking at but it was creepy either way.
"No but you guys will be," he pets its head and it closes its eyes, "she's here to help you all. She's an asset and I think you guys will come to love her,"
The owl cooed and fluttered its wings.
"You can come out now," he said to the owl. The owl opened its eyes but this time they were pitch black. The owl flew off the table and started flying in circles before a dark mist appeared in the middle of the room. Everyone got ready to fight until the mist calmed down and there stood a beautiful woman in a long, black dress, barefoot. You stepped over to Fury and hid behind him which he in turn stepped over so they could see you.
"This, ladies and gentlemen, is Nyx," you just stood there eyeing everyone around the room. They could now tell who you were looking at when you moved your eyes.
"I-I'm sorry did you just say... Nyx?," Thor questioned. He stood from his seat and came close to you, who seemed all but outgoing, you seemed very reclusive. He smiled at you and kneeled before you, "Nice to finally meet you Lady Nyx,"
You wore a soft smile on your face at the fact someone actually knew who you was. Grant it, you knew Thor. You knew Thor centuries before he was even born or thought of, even though you two are from different backgrounds as he's from Norse mythology and you're Greek.
"You know her how.. exactly?" Tony frowned.
"Well she's a protogenoi," Thor stayed obviously.
"A what?,"
"She's one of the first race of immortals to come into existence. She was created at the beginning of time, she was the first after Khaos, she's older than the Titans. Born Millenniums before us. She's the Goddess of Night. A sentiment aspect of the universe," Bruce answered this time.
You were amazed that one let alone two people know of you and your history. You're well forgotten in most cases where your sisters and brothers like Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Hades and so one are pushed to the forefront.
"I know all of you already," you voice was low, scared to raise your tone, "I know this is weird but... my father told me I had a duty to fulfill here on Earth," you played with your black gown. It was simple but it's not everyday they just see someone casually wearing a sleek gown like this. Your beauty was unmatched, the team couldn't stop staring, not because you were new, or the way your hair sat thick and beautifully on your head, the shape mimicking the moon in a round afro. It wasn't because of the gorgeous dark tattoos on your arm, but because of your ethereal beauty. You glowed like the moon in the night sky.
