Kiss Turned Contract

It started with an innocent question — one many had asked before — but what happened next was not what anyone expected...

One day after Kakashi arrived late to training (as usual), Naruto asks to speak to him for a moment and leads him to more private place. Suddenly, Kakashi was against a tree being hugged by Naruto.

"Naruto? Are you ok?" Naruto nodded.

"C-can I see what's behind your mask?" Kakashi was taken aback and before he knew it, Naruto had pulled off both masks.

"Naruto! That-" Kakashi was cut off by Naruto, "Can I... Can I kiss you?" The fox boy asked, a puppy like expression on his face.

"No Naruto... You can't." The silver-ette sighed out, looking at the ground.

"Why?" Naruto pouted.

"It's like a marriage contract... You kiss me and we have to get married." Kakashi blushed as Naruto focused on the elder mans words.

Naruto kissed Kakashi quickly before he vanished. The jounin smiled weakly. "Naruto, you have no idea what you just did." Kakashi spoke aloud, blushing lightly.

The Hatake Clan has a secret that not many know of — those that once did no longer remember. Kakashi Hatake is the last of his clan and he hopes none will be able to take advantage of the secret he has kept for the past 21 years. Not a soul has found out and Kakashi wants it to stay that way. But what happens when the number one hyperactive knucklehead ninja asks for a kiss?

Well...  the events that carry out next will surely change Kakashi's world forever. That's good... Right?

Naruto has always wondered what was hidden behind that mask his sensei always wore. Theories were constantly in his mind. Did it hide razor sharp teeth like the inhabitants of Kirigakure? Did he have more extensive scarring?

Why was Kakashi-Sensei hiding his face?

Maybe he has lips like cod roe? Or maybe buckteeth?

With these thoughts running through his mind, Naruto decided that he would get his answer. It started off innocently enough, however, the moment he saw his sensei's face...  Naruto felt a strong desire overcome him and the only thing on his mind was kissing Kakashi's thin lips.

Old secrets are unearthed, loyalties revealed and limits tested. Can our two heroes stick together through this? Or will it all be too much?

This is the revised version of  "Naruto Hatake" or "The Kiss & The Contract". I hope you all enjoy it!

I started this story after reading a one-shot and wanted more from the story. So after asking the author, I originally began my own take on the one-shot in late 2016 (Naruto Hatake) Later, during 2017, I reread the little I had wrote and decided to change it up a bit creating The Kiss & The Contract.

You see, I had been reading a few fanfictions where Naruto is a child genius and wanted to incorporate it into this story. After posting a few chapters, I took a break from publishing any others due to test and a pile of homework I allowed to build up. I still kept editing the chapters I had uploaded while working on multiple drafts but a dodgy wifi and deleting drafts made me unable to do much.

I then decided to take a break from writing and instead placed this project on hold. When I came back late last year and reread through the chapters posted and all my surviving drafts, I found that I preferred my original idea (2017) to the newer one (2018). I also wanted to better incorporate the one-shot that inspired this in the first place. So, with new ideas in mind, I've started to work on this project again and this is the result.

Thank you all so much for staying with me and being patient. I hope you like how the story will turn out and please feel free to criticise as it'll help me improve.
