A young boy, no older than the age of 4 years old, was walking through the streets of Konohagakure no Sato while ignoring the glares sent his way. He had sunshine blond hair, electric blue eyes and tanned skin with three whisker marks on each cheek. At a first glance he seemed just like an ordinary, innocent 4-year-old, but if you looked closer you could see a well-placed mask and the eyes of a war veteran. This boy was in no way ordinary. He had seen so much that he was practically an adult in a child's body. But who is this child you ask? Why has he been through so much? Well, he is no more than Naruto Namikaze-Uzumaki...

'Well, it's finally time to see Jiji! This week has dragged by and the beatings have gotten worse! But I can't let him worry, he's already stressed out with the council.' He thought to himself as he neared the Hokage Tower.

"Hello there Naruto!" Ama said.

<Ama is the Hokage's Secretary (a bit like how Shizune is to Tsunade) and is one of the few who can tell the difference between a kunai and its scroll. However, she is currently 8 months pregnant and so she'll be replaced for a while in the next chapters.>

"Hello, Ama-San! Are you doing well? You should really take some time off." Naruto greeted excitedly.

"Hello Naruto, I'm doing as well as I can and today is my last day here for now. Hokage-Sama is waiting for you so go ahead and make your way in."

"Arigato! And good luck with the baby!" He exclaimed as he made his way in. "What's up Jiji!" He asked as he discreetly examined the room finding all possible dangers and exits.

"Not much has been happening Naruto. Now, what have you been up to? I haven't been able to see you in awhile." The Hokage said.

"I've been doing great Jiji! The ramen place you took me too was amazing! I want to go there again!"

'If only you knew what went on behind your back... Or do you already know but turn a blind eye? The pain I have to endure is becoming unbearable! Why can't anyone see through my mask! WHY DO THEY ONLY SEE WHAT THEY WANT TO AND NOT WHAT IS TRULY THERE?!' Naruto screamed inside his mind unknowingly waking up a certain fox...

"I'll be sure to take you there again Naruto." The Hokage said smiling.

"Can't we go now?" Naruto whined.
