Chapter 5 - Leo talks

~~~ Sulong calls home

Elsjoh, Warrant Sulong, had talked to Leo and had the use of his office to call home. It was going to be hard since he'd been on Earth for two weeks. He placed the call and smiled when his wife answered the call, "Hey love. I'm not sure you were informed but I finally retired. The last cruise showed me it was time. How are you and everyone doing?"

She answered and gave him a good look before she replied, "What happened Elsjoh? I can tell something happened which upset you." His face showed how upset he was even if others couldn't tell.

He rubbed his face and ignored the faint traces of dampness he felt, "We lost crew including Holcum Whitewater, Jace, and Danal. It almost destroyed his mate Mila. I know I've seen others lost and it hurt but this is Pride and was to much. I've been here for two weeks since I needed time to recover and Mila needed my support. I'm going to come home in a few days since I need my family around me also."

She touched the screen, "Come home love. Several of us can come there if needed for you and the Pride. What do you need?" Kitty touched the screen, "I think we'll come out if it's okay with the Pride. They are your family as much as we are. I'll talk to the kids and let them know you need time to recover. Just so you know our kids have been fruitful and you have several new grandkids. When you're ready we'll set up a small get together and you can meet them."

"I'll talk to Raven and see if it'd be a problem. Since you are a Pride friend also, for you it wouldn't be a problem. Not sure how many more they want here. We have three Marines and two Pilots helping with Mila's and Nacy's kittens. There are a few others also. They've invited Jace and Danal's family out since we lost them along with Holcum. Nacy's family is here helping her and Mila. God Damn it! I'm so angry and upset it isn't funny. I'll let you know."

"I'll be out tomorrow and when Raven says we can bring a few others I'll have them flown out. Love you Elsjon. Take care and love you so much." She hung up the call and started looking for shuttle flights.

When she hung up, he rested his hands on the table top in front of the video call center and tried not to cry. Raven walked in and settled down next to him and gave him a hug, "We are starting to run out of rooms but if you want, we have two rooms available in the guest section. Let me know who else might be coming with Sulong. You helped take care of Mila and we'll take care of you."

He started crying harder. Even after two weeks he was at the end of his ability to deal with everything. Having some of his family here would help a huge amount.

~~~ Gathering of friends

Even as Mila was doing her best to relax and recover her parents were working on getting those closest to her home. Even though her mate had contacted the others she called and asked to have them considering coming to the Pride. She also knew Mila wanted to make some Pride friends. Considering how some of the Marines had helped she understood.

It was being kept from Mila about those coming out. At this point she'd asked one family to move houses since they were running out of rooms. They needed the room and she was already working on having a new guest house built. She had a feeling they were going to be having a great deal of people there for the next few years.

She didn't have a problem since it would help Mila recover as much as possible. Once she had replies from everyone, she scheduled the flights and they all would arrive within several hours. They were public flights so they couldn't land at the shuttle pad they had. For this she was going to greet them personally. Leo could take care of the Pride while she was gone. Even now she wanted to scream and yowl at the loss of Mila's mate and her son.
