For someone who made a living out of singing, Harry sure knew how to sing badly when he wanted to. While we were traveling to Holmes Chapel, he had adopted the "I'm driving, so I control the music" rule, which wasn't a bad idea in theory, since I had learnt he had quite an amazing taste in music. But when he declared that he needed to get into the Christmas spirit even more and decided that blasting Christmas songs was going to be our road trip music, it all started to turn sour.

"If you plan on continuing to do—" I began to say, but Harry was singing too loudly and proudly to even notice I was speaking. I frowned, getting even more frustrated as Harry began flapping his arms to the beat of a techno version of "Silent Night" as he still managed to hold on tight to the steering wheel.

I let out a huff and reached towards the car stereo to turn the music off, only to have my hand swatted away. I looked up at Harry as his hand touched mine, noticing that he was saying something but I could barely hear him due to the loud Christmas themed tunes. He kept on talking, and while I could still hear the basics of his drawl, it was very muffled and totally unrecognisable. Making my way past Harry's pushy hands and pouty lips, I turned the dial and my ears may have cried with happiness as the music was barely audible.

"Hey," Harry whined as he took offense to my actions, but I just shrugged at him and gave him a cheeky grin. "I was listening to that, you know. It's my car, I'm driving and—"

"And so you choose the music," I interrupted him, his eyebrows creasing as he continued to take offense. I'm sure it was because I cut him off this time, though. "I was happy enough to oblige to that rule initially, when I thought you were going to play some chill road trip music, but the second you started playing bloody Christmas music... I lost all faith in this trip being fun."

"Excuse me." Harry gripped the steering wheel tighter and I had noticed how he pouted his lips even more as he huffed. "I'm excellent road trip company, thank you very much."

I relaxed back in my seat, grabbing my hot tea from the cup holder between us, and frowned as I realised there was less than a quarter left. "I beg to differ," I disagreed with Harry. "Good company would ensure that all passengers are happy and enjoying their ride, not be selfish and take over the road trip tunes.

"I say passengers should respect those driving, because not only did those driving drive all the way to the passengers house, but those driving also picked up some tea and snacks for the ride."

"Yes, the passenger is very appreciative and thanks the driver immensely." I glared at Harry, only to see the edges of his mouth twitch as he tried to hold back a smile. "And the passenger is also grateful that the driver even offered her a ride in the first place, so she didn't have to take a crowded train in the holiday season, but the passenger would also much rather some delightful music to pass the time."
